VICE.: Miss Vannette

We’d like to introduce you to our new feature, VICE, in which we will showcase beautiful women every month. Many people have their own vice; it may be wine, cigars, exotic cars, and fine foods. We are no different. Our vice is exotic women, and over the next 13 months, we will display our temptations on JukeBOX.
Some of the most exotic women are from Africa, so in this frigid December month, our vice takes us to the country of Liberia.
We present the gorgeous Miss Vanette as our first feature model for VICE.

JukeBOX.: Give us an introduction and tell JukeBOX. a little about yourself.
Miss Vannette: My name is Miss Vannette and I'm a DMV based model and blogger.

When did you begin modeling?
I began my modeling career when I was 18 years old. I've since been modeling on and off throughout the years. I have acquired spreads in various magazines, walked many runways, been featured on lots of websites, appeared in music videos and hosted events.

You seem independent yet aggressive. What type of girlfriend are you? What type of guys are you attracted to?I am very aggressive and independent in many aspects of my life; and my love life tends to be no different. As a girlfriend, as long as I'm happy, he's extremely happy. I tend to go above and beyond to put a smile on my significant other's face. I like a man who has a backbone, is generous, thoughtful, intelligent, driven, well groomed, well dressed and NOT TOO NEEDY.

We recently saw you in Kingpen Slim's video for 'Gone'. How was it shooting a 3D animation video and did you have fun on the set?
The 'Gone' video shoot was lots of fun for me because I was in great company and working with great people. Shooting against a green screen was cool because the entire setting was left up to our imaginations. We had to pretend we were in outer space (or wherever we were).

Looking over your modeling resume, you have done a lot in a short time. What are some other goals in magazines and fashion that you would want to accomplish?
Ideally, I would love to be the muse of a fashion house or a spokesmodel for a fashion brand that I actually like ;-). Keep your eyes open - hopefully one day you'll see me on the cover of Essence or [Cosmopolitan].

What is currently playing in your ipod?
Don't laugh...my iPod is currently on a Mariah Carey playlist.

How do you stay so fit? Can you tell the ladies your secret?
You think I'm fit?! Why, thank you. My physical well-being has a lot to do with what goes inside of my body. I take nutrition very seriously and try to make sure that every meal I eat is well balanced and low in carbs and fat. I eat out a lot, so this can be challenging sometimes, but nowadays restaurants are catering more to health conscious people. I don't work out as consistently as I should, but I try to get into the gym or run a few miles at least three times a week. Ladies, I don't think there's a secret...it's all about daily life choices.

What is your Vice?
I'm a wine enthusiast. Wine is my vice.
