We’re a bit late on this, but Vanessa Simmons recently revealed that she has been knocked up by Mike Wayans (son of Damon Wayans). In addition (and maybe — or maybe not — to our surprise), even the good reverend approved of the pregnancy, which is out of wedlock and already 5 months along. From US:
“We are both very excited about the birth of our first child,” the actress tells Us. “We totally were expecting it to be [a] boy all along but got very surprised when we found out it was indeed a girl. I immediately went out and brought a cute [little] outfit for her right after the appointment.”
Though the first-time mom-to-be was ecstatic about the news, there was one person she was afraid to tell — her dad! Simmons’ father, Run-D.M.C.’s Joseph Simmons, also goes by the stage name Rev. Run, and has often spoken out about his faith when the family starred in the MTV series Run’s House from 2005 to 2009.
“I was so nervous telling my dad at first being that I’m not married YET but he was very excited and is supportive 100 percent. His concern is just that I’m happy,” she said. “Both families are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the new baby girl. She’s coming into two huge families waiting to give her lots of love.”
