If you’ve been living under a rock (or don’t watch American football), then you may not know that on Sunday, the Seattle Seahawks beat the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game to advance to the Super Bowl (but I’ll let Richard Sherman express his excitement for you). During the madness, Macklemore was definitely showing his team support, all the way down to a big halftime performance with Ryan Lewis and his post-game celebration with the team. Check out the picks above, as well as his speaking on the win below (spotted on SeattlePI).

On the Seattle Seahawks’ win:

“It’s very surreal. It is a very surreal experience…I’ve been a Seattle sports fan my entire life, and this was by far and away the greatest moment.”

On his and Ryan Lewis’ halftime performance:

“It was a huge honor, the fact that the Seahawks let us do that…but really, to be completely honest, I was thinking about the game. I performed for six minutes, and it was awesome to be in front of that many people, but it was about the game.”
