Multi Genre lyricist Sir Mic returns to end 2012 with his official debut EP release ‘Lateral Thinking’. The EP is released free via Bandcamp and features the vocal talents of Jasmine Knight, Dias and Silqe plus production from Dyversity, Gemini, Dias and a Luminox produced bonus freestyle.

Renowned for his distintive and diverse style, the EP kicks off nicely with intro track ‘Welcome’, a Dyversity produced Beatle’s sampling, abstract look into the mind of the MC. Swiftly followed by ‘The Forecast’, featuring long time collaborators Dias and Jasmine Knight, an upbeat and inspiring track demonstrating the different ‘weathers’ or moods we experience as human beings.

Next up is Gemini produced UK Hip Hop banger ‘The Long Road’, featuring Reading MC Silqe, a demonstration of struggle’s while encountered on ‘The Long Road’ of success, that could be applied to any journey in modern day life. Sir Mic then takes the level down a notch with downbeat introspective track ‘Tryna Be Me’, produced by Dyversity, with a mellow look at the Hip Hop industry and the pain’s of being an artist.

Always one to switch things up, bonus track ‘I Run This’ is a hyped up freestyle over a Luminox produced Trapstep beat, made to showcase his lyrcism and wordplay on the mic. ‘I Run This’ is sign of the darker style to come in the future for Sir Mic as he branches out into other genres.

All this shapes up nicely for his second EP, ‘If you Cant Join ‘Em, Beat ‘Em’, scheduled to be released in April 2013.
