Meagan Good could play Whitney Houston in biopic. The “Deception” star is linked to the project after telling LA Times in an interview that the biopic was her dream job. She also said that she had been discussing a potential film with the singer before her tragic death.
According to The Wrap, record producer Clive Davis who’s also Whitney’s close friend will shepherd the project. At one point this year, Tyler Perry even expressed his interest to sit behind the lens should the untitled Whitney Houston biopic come together.
Since Whitney’s sudden passing in February this year, a slew of stars have been rumored being considered to portray the late music icon. Rihanna, Jennifer Hudson, Vivica A Fox are on the list along with Jordin Sparks, who played Whitney’s on-screen daughter in her final movie “Sparkle”.
