Wale Denies Ant Glizzy’s Diddy And Cassie Story

From TMZ, where you can read the full story (the source of the issue is above, courtesy of Ant Glizzy):

Wale finds himself inserted in a rumor about Diddy dangling him over a balcony for working with Cassie against Diddy’s wishes — but Wale says it’s a fairy tale derived from Robert Townsend’s film, “The Five Heartbeats!!!

Wale’s management tells TMZ Hip Hop the story, first started by DMV rapper-turned-YouTuber Ant Glizzy, is pure fakery and goes on to say, “It’s a shame that a complete fabrication has gotten this far and that we have to dignify it with a response.”

They continue … “It is a fantasy written by an outsider to exploit a viral story for clicks … the author must have watched “The Five Heartbeats” on basic cable and got inspired. They have never been in the same room as the people mentioned. Wale has never met Cassie or the author and was never involved in any type of altercation. He wishes peace for everyone involved in the settlement.”

Vodka Wars: 50 Cent Dissed Diddy At A Maryland Liquor Store

The Take over continues EFFEN VODKA. #EFFENVODKA #FRIGO #SMSAUDIO

A video posted by 50 Cent (@50cent) on

50 Cent has been making rounds at various liquor stores in the D.C. area during Howard Homecoming weekend to promote Effen Vodka…one such stop happened at Camp Meade Liquors in Linthicum Heights, Maryland. Above, you can see 50’s latest jab at Diddy and Ciroc via his Instagram.

Machine Gun Kelly Betrays Diddy’s Ciroc — By Enjoying Some Effen With 50 Cent

mgk

From TMZ:

Bad Boy rapper Machine Gun Kelly just gave Diddy a real slap in the face by fraternizing with the enemy, 50 Cent, and pounding Fif’s rival vodka like a poster boy for the stuff.

MGK crashed 50’s Pool After Dark party last weekend in Atlantic City. Not a big deal … except it was an Effen vodka event and MGK is signed to Diddy’s Bad Boy Records where Ciroc rules supreme.

We’re told all Bad Boy artists are supposed to plug Diddy’s vodka … it comes with the territory. MGK even bathes in the stuff in his ‘LTFU’ video.

MGK screwed up by getting up onstage in front of a giant Effen banner with 50 at the party.

50 and Diddy have a storied beef and 50’s repeatedly played off the rivalry when plugging Effen … going as far as using the hashtag #nomorepuffyjuice.

The hashtag’s made its way to t-shirts … that people were wearing … inside the booth… where MGK was taking back the rival spirit … total WTEff?

Plenty of celebs were in attendance at The Weeknd’s recent show in Los Angeles….what’s notable here (to us) is Wale hanging out with Kanye West…we hope that a collab might come out of this!

Check out more pics with (in addition to Wale and Kanye) Diddy, French Montana, Kendall Jenner, Kat Williams (!) and more.

Others honorees during ceremony were CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer, surgeon Clive Callender, jazz great Benny Golson and PepsiCo CEO Indra Nooyi.

“We are honored to have Mr. Combs serve as our speaker,” interim Howard President Wayne Frederick said in a statement before the event. “He sat in classrooms where our students sit, walked ‘The Yard,’ and like many students, his entrepreneurial spirit was sparked at Howard.”

Past Howard graduation speakers also have included Oprah Winfrey, Hillary Clinton, Colin Powell and Maya Angelou.

Suge Knight Blasts Diddy, Claims That Tupac Shaker Isn’t Dead (Video)

From TMZ:

Suge Knight just fired a metaphorical shot at P. Diddy … telling us he’s a “bitch ass” who should be getting more heat for the murder of Tupac Shakur.

Suge was leaving 1Oak last night when he unleashed a rant about Tupac’s death, saying … “Everybody know off the top, I ain’t the n**** killed Tupac. I’m the n**** protected Tupac!”

Then he points a finger directly at Diddy — “Bitch ass Puffy can get him a mutha******* star, and every rat in the world say he’s the one who killed Tupac, or had him shot.”

You gotta hear Suge go in even more on “rats” in general … and Diddy in particular.

As for why no one’s been charged in ‘Pac’s death — even though an inmate confessed in 2012 — Suge’s explanation is simple … “Tupac’s not dead!”

Jennifer Lopez Beats Out Diddy In Acquiring FUSE

jlo1

How did Diddy’s ex gain the upper hand on an entire network? Because she apparently has minority ownership in NuvoTV. From the Hollywood Reporter:

NuvoTV, the English-language cable channel where Jennifer Lopez is a minority owner and serves as the network’s chief creative offer, has reached an agreement to acquire Fuse from Madison Square Garden Company for $226 million.

“Music is my first love so the acquisition of Fuse is near and dear to my heart,” Lopez said in a statement. “It’s exciting that between NUVOtv and Fuse we’ll have the ability to deliver a broad array of terrific content both from a Latino perspective and across multiple genres, including music, to a broader audience. The acquisition of Fuse means we now own two wonderful assets. It’s a phenomenal time for our company and we look forward to growing both networks in the years ahead.”

The deal is expected to close between July 1 and September 1.

“The acquisition of Fuse represents a transformational event for us and also provides significant benefits to NUVOtv,” said Michael Schwimmer, CEO of NUVOtv network parent company SiTV Media. “It enhances our distribution relationships, dramatically expands our aggregate subscriber base, provides substantial economies of scale, affords unique opportunities for programming and cross-promotion and should be extremely appealing to the advertising community as we roll out our plans for both NUVOtv and Fuse.”
Prior to Lopez’s NuvoTV reaching a deal, Sean “Puffy” Combs, backed by billionaire supermarket magnate Ron Burkle, had reportedly made a $200 million offer.

The assumption in the industry that Lopez and Combs, who owns the fledgling Revolt TV cable channel in partnership with Comcast, were interested in acquiring Fuse to convert the struggling network to their respective programming formats and gain access to Fuse’s 74 million cable households. (NuvoTV and Revolt reportedly reach in the neighborhood of 34 million households.)

King Los Leaves Bad Boy Records; Speaks On ‘Mastermind’ Rant

From MTV:

Rick Ross and French Montana deliver an unforgettable performance on the Boss’ new single “Nobody,” but Bad Boy CEO Diddy absolutely stole the show.

The standout Mastermind track samples audio of Puff passionately tearing down and somehow trying to motivate an unknown member of his team. Ross told “RapFix Live” that the audio came from a very real conversation and while he told us that it wasn’t French Montana on the receiving end of the rant, he left the door open.

“When I took [the rant] and chopped it up and put it on my record I gave him my word. I would never reveal who it was that he was scolding because it’s someone you know,” Ross told us on March 6.

So when former Bad Boy artist King Los stopped by the “RFL” couch on Wednesday (March 19), we asked him whether he was on the receiving end of Diddy’s tongue-lashing.

“I love the mystique of this. I’ma let this play out a little bit, but boy, your intuitive skills, man,” Los told Sway insinuating that he may have been the one Diddy was talking to.

On the track, the music mogul warns of unsavory individuals ready to bring members of his team down. “These n—as is roaches. These n—as is mere mother—in’ mortals,” Puffs barks on the track. “You wanna walk around with them or you wanna walk with God, n—a?”

“I had something to do with it,” Los admitted, being very vague about the whole thing.

Earlier on Wednesday, Los announced on Shade 45’s “Sway in the Morning” radio show that he has parted ways with Diddy and Bad Boy.

Los signed with Bad Boy in February 2012 and it was MTV News that broke the story. It was the Baltimore rapper’s second stint with the label. He signed his first deal with Puff in 2005, but that dissolved some years later. “Forever in the Bad Boy family, just I’ve chose to explore other endeavors just like my mentor; just like Puff,” Los said on “RapFix” today.

Whether or not that Rick Ross skit had anything to do with Los’ departure from the label, or was directed at him at all, is unclear. Los instead just chooses to give small pieces of the story.

“I have the full conversation, that’s only bits and fragments,” he said. “Man, listen: it was some more devastating things said.”
