Cee-Lo Green Cleared Of Sexual Assualt….And Charged With Possession Of Ecstasy

Frederick-M.-Brown

From TMZ:

The L.A. County D.A. will CLEAR CeeLo Green of charges he sexually assaulted a woman by allegedly slipping a drug in her drink … TMZ has learned. CeeLo will, however, be charged with the felony of furnishing ecstasy … law enforcement sources tell TMZ.

Our sources say the D.A. will officially REJECT the sexual assault case this morning. A woman had claimed she and CeeLo went to a sushi joint in downtown L.A. more than a year ago. She told cops the star of “The Voice” had slipped ecstasy in her drink and the next thing she knew she was naked in his bed.

Law enforcement sources tell us, authorities had problems with the woman’s story … one of which was that she and CeeLo had been dating for months and had already been intimate.

We’re told CeeLo not only denied the allegations … he encouraged the D.A. and the LAPD to fully investigate. In the end, we’ve learned the D.A. will reject the sexual assault case because of insufficient evidence.

As for the drug charge … law enforcement sources tell us CeeLo will be charged with 1 count of furnishing ecstasy … a felony, and he may be arraigned as early as this afternoon.

As we previously reported, the woman claimed to have a tape recording of CeeLo talking about the incident.

Although our sources say CeeLo never said anything about slipping ecstasy in her drink, he did reference the drug. It appears the D.A. views the tape as a confession to drug use … thus the charge.

We’re told the criminal complaint will NOT allege the singer had any criminal intent to harm the woman when he allegedly shared ecstasy with her.

As for punishment … we’re told most people with such a first offense get probation.

From Rolling Stone:

The Voice returns on September 23rd, and original coaches Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera are reuniting with fellow panelists Blake Shelton and Adam Levine. After sitting the fourth season out – with Shakira and Usher filling in – Green and Aguilera linked back up with the team as part of the Television Critics Association press tour this past weekend.

“I needed a moment to step away,” Aguilera said, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “Thank God for Shakira. She did a beautiful job.” Green said it was surreal to see Usher filling in for him. “It was awkward and intriguing at the same time,” Green said. “It was a bit of an out-of-body experience.”

Cee-Lo Green Feat. Lauriana Mae – Only You (Video)

Cee-Lo Green’s fourth effort Everybody’s Brother is still a ways away, but to reward you for your patience, he’s given the album’s lead single “Only You” an official video, which you can watch exclusively here.

Like the song itself, the Ethan Lader-directed clip features rising singer Lauriana Mae as Green’s duet partner. The visual shows the two walking around a swirly city that’s folding in on itself, like a less scary Inception. (Maybe Cee could spin Purrfect instead of a top, and see if she ever falls over? Just kidding, PETA! Please don’t call us.)

Cee-Lo Green Sued Over Phantom Christmas Concerts

The ‘Cee-Lo Swindle’? From TMZ:

Cierra Management Group claims in its lawsuit, Cee Lo’s people approached them in November, 2011 with a proposition — doing a tour called “12 Days of Christmas.” Cierra would have had to front $100k per concert and it was too much money.

So Cee Lo’s peeps went back and proposed to slash XMAS in half and do 6 days at $100k each, but it was still too rich for Cierra’s blood.

So, according to the lawsuit, Cierra was offered a bargain basement Yuletide proposition — 2 concerts for a total of $243,000 including expenses. It was too tempting and Cierra agreed.

But here’s the deal … According to the suit, the concerts never took place and Cierra believes Cee Lo’s people never intended for them to take place. The suit claims it was all “a scheme designed to finagle funding capital for concerts they knew would not manifest.”

Cee Lo is not accused of being part of the conspiracy — although his people certainly are — but he’s being sued for allegedly refusing to perform the 2 concerts.

Cierra wants a whopping $14.2 million.

We contacted Cee Lo’s people and so far no response.

Cee-Lo (@CeeLoGreen) Reportedly Involved In Physical Altercation With TWO Women

Add one more Cee-Lo Green’s stories of handling women like a pimp. This one apparently happened in July 2011 in Miami Beach…from TMZ:

According to law enforcement … the women told cops they met Cee Lo at a nightclub and were invited back to party in the singer’s hotel room. One of the women began to argue with Cee Lo and according to the police report Cee Lo asked them both to leave. Cee Lo and a witness told cops both women were highly intoxicated.

According to the report, Cee Lo began escorting one of the women out of the room by placing his hands on her shoulders. One of the women then called him a “fat motherf**ker,” to which he responded, “You need to leave, bitch.”

According to the police report, the parties took the argument outside — Cee Lo says the woman began to pummel him with punches and slaps to his face and they began fighting. According to witnesses the other woman jumped Cee Lo from behind and started striking him in the head.

Police were called and determined it was mutual combat and they could not determine who started it so no one was arrested.

Cee-Lo (@Ceelogreen) Investigated For Sexual Battery

Cee-Lo is being investigation for sexual battery. New details state the victim has his voice on tape admitting and apologizing on the alleged

The woman claims Mr. Green slipped a drug in her drink at a LA restaurant back in July prior to finding herself naked in bed with him the next morning.

Sources involved in the case represent to TMZ  … Cee Lo is on tape, repeatedly apologizing and referencing MDMA (Ecstasy) — though he does not specifically say he put it in her drink.  Sources say Cee Lo told her he thought the drug would help them have an exciting time together.  For the record, MDMA generally does not render people unconscious.

Sources connected to Cee Lo tell us … the accuser went to a civil lawyer BEFORE going to police and demanded money from the singer to make the whole thing go away. Other sources tell us a different story — that her lawyer called Cee Lo’s manager to find out if the singer had any communicable diseases and never made any money demands.
