Last week, amidst J. Cole’s interview with Nardwuar he mentioned that pre-The Warm Up, he and his best friend Ced had freestyled to Pete Rock’s “The Game†instrumental. Well, I’ve got it! J Cole dropped this freestyle circa ’01-02 when he was 17 and had just assumed the his former rap name, “Therapistâ€.
