Kanye Reacts To “Mama’s Boyfriend” Leak

The version of the Kanye West recording “Mama’s Boy” that arrived on blog sites earlier this week is entirely bogus and unsanctioned, and violates the artist’s creative intentions. As is often the unfortunate case, an unknown party or parties got a hold of Kanye West’s vocal track and added their own soundbed to it, effectively and falsely releasing it as a Kanye West track from the My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy sessions. The result in no way resembles the final song Kanye West intended his fans to hear, and he is deeply disappointed that one of the most personal, meaningful and special songs he has ever written would reach people in this way. Needless to say, measures are being taken to identify and prosecute the persons responsible for leaking this material.

The investigation began with the Recording Industry Association of America, a trade group that sent its own team of investigators to conduct a surveillance of a suspected “burner lab” at 27 Stetson Place in Danbury where pirated CDs were alleged being made and distributed, according to the affidavit.
The trade group is comprised of record companies that create, manufacture and distribute about 85-percent of all legitimate sound recordings made and sold in the United States, according to the affidavit. Three investigators from RIAA began the surveillance in Feburary of 2009.
The investigators allegedly followed a 1995 Ford Explorer registered to Willcox from his Danbury home to a residence at 12 George St., Mount Vernon, NY, which was suspected of supplying the materials and equipment used to manufacture recordable CDs and DVDs, according to the affidavit.

Jimmy Henchman?! 2Pac’s Quad Studio Shooter Confesses

Holy shit.
The day before Tupac Shakur’s 40th birthday, one of the mysteries that surrounded his life has been solved. Though his murder remains unsolved, AllHipHop.com reports that Dexter Isaac, an associate of music exec Jimmy Henchman, has confessed to shooting 2Pac in the lobby of Quad Studios in November 1994. He says Henchman paid him $2,500 for the hit.
This is the shooting the essentially sparked the East coast vs. West coast beef. Tupac accused Biggie and Pac for setting him up. On the song “Against All Odds”, Pac even pointed fingers at Henchman.
Because of statue of limitations, Issac will not be prosecuted for the crime. He also admitted to still having Pac’s jewelery. Meanwhile, Henchman is currently on the run from Federal agents after failing to turn himself in cocaine distribution charges.
