Ludacris Performs Big K.R.I.T. Produced Song At Country Music Awards

The Atlanta rapper headed to Nashville to debut his collaboration “Dirt Road Anthem” with country crooner Jason Aldean at the 2011 CMT Music Awards. The laid-back tune, co-produced by Big K.R.I.T., meshes the hip-hop and country worlds together for an out-of-the-box collabo not heard since Nelly and Tim McGraw’s genre-bending hit “Over and Over.”

Kreayshawn Inks Deal with Columbia Records

From Rap-Up:
The Internet has been buzzing about Oakland-bred visual artist Kreayshawn (Kray-shawn), whose viral video for “Gucci Gucci” has racked up 2.5 million views on YouTube. Now Columbia Records plans to make her a household name. The label, home to Beyoncé, John Legend, and Maxwell, has signed the rapper to a lucrative deal.
The 21-year-old, born Natassia Zolot, will release her single to digital retailers on June 14 with her full-length debut album to follow later this year. In the guerilla-style clip for “Gucci Gucci,” the tatted Kreayshawn calls out the “basic bitches” who obsess over brand names. She is joined by her fellow White Girl Mob member, stylist, and DJ L1L D3BB13 as she raps in front of designer stores on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.
“I’m excited to work with my new Columbia family,” stated Kreayshawn, who has directed videos for Lil B and Soulja Boy. “They understand my vision and are going to let me continue everything I’ve been doing. My hope is to inspire others to be young, wild, and free.”
She described herself in less than picturesque words on her website. “I’m a piece of shit but, I am raw talent. Nothing but, unfiltered pain and torture I received as a child in the cold world,” she wrote. “Nothing’s nice about my style. I just got shit to do. Art is my means to my hustle. I just wanna share everything with everyone.”

Flo Rida Gets Arrested For DUI

From TMZ:
Rapper Flo Rida — the guy behind the smash hit, “Low” — was busted for drunk driving in Miami Beach this morning in one of the most expensive cars in the planet!!!!
Law enforcement sources say … Flo Rida was driving around in his red and black Bugatti — valued around $1.7 million — when cops observed the rapper swerving in his lane and pulled him over around 3:30 AM.
During the stop, cops detected the odor of alcohol — so Flo was given a field sobriety test … and didn’t perform very well.
Flo — real name Tramar Dillard — was arrested on suspicion of DUI and taken to a nearby station where he is currently being booked. Sources tell us Flo’s blood alcohol level was more than double the legal limit.

Beyonce Speaks on 4 Leak

Beyoncé is taking a glass-half-full approach to the leak of her entire 4 album three weeks before its June 28 release date.

In a statement released to MTV News on Wednesday (June 8), Beyoncé lamented the early arrival but said she’s making the most of the eagerness of her fans to get their hands on her first new batch of songs since 2008’s double-disc I Am … Sasha Fierce.

“My music was leaked and while this is not how I wanted to present my new songs, I appreciate the positive response from my fans,” the singer wrote. “When I record music I always think about my fans singing every note and dancing to every beat. I make music to make people happy and I appreciate that everyone has been so anxious to hear my new songs.”

Beyoncé fans were psyched Tuesday when her collabo with Andre 3000, “Party,” leaked weeks before the new album was due. It was one of several leaks the album has faced over the past week. A short time after the Kanye West and Consequence-produced “Party” slipped out, another song, “Countdown,” which samples the Boyz II Men tune “Uhh Ahh,” also surfaced, followed by the entire album.

While B’s team scrambles to take down the offending links that have popped up all over the Web, some online rogues have taken to Twitter to put up links, making it harder for the label to track down the music. Fans have already gotten a number of listens to tunes from the disc, including the uptempo dancehall first single “Run the World (Girls),” the lush ballad “1+1” and the second official single “Best Thing I Never Had.” Another tune, “End of Time,” which samples late Afrobeat superstar Fela Kuti, has also leaked online.

Good Luck Ja Rule

PIL2 cumming soon…….

This morning, Ja Rule has signed up to be the newest resident of New York’s infamous Rikers Island Penitentiary.
Mr. Rule will report to the New York State Department of Correctional Services today to begin the mandatory jail sentence he agreed to when he pleaded guilty to gun possession charges back in December. Ja Rule’s arrest took place on the same night that Lil Wayne was arrested on a gun charge, which sent Lil Tunechi to jail for eight months last year. The two rappers had performed together that night in Wayne‘s first major show in New York.
Luckily for Rule, he probably won’t be spending his whole sentence at Rikers. He plans transfer to a facility in Upstate New York soon. Back in March, an NY judge gave the Murder Inc. star eight months to finish his album “Pain Is Love 2″. His first single “Real Life Fantasy” drops this summer.
