I was literally just talking about this over Thanksgiving……the idea that this major outlet of fashion would “dumb” themselves down to a retailer chain such as H&M (no disrespect to H&M either, they definitely have a lot of my money). Anyways, I just so happened to come across this article at High Snobiety speaking on the matter, and, apparently, Hip-Hop loves it. I do not believe Versace is "dumbing" down but rather making money and making the brand accessible to a different market which is more massive than its original target market. Having Versace for H&M might be giving the brand a new breath of air and i have viewed the collection and it is indeed Versace typical style for modes. Versace for H&M is doing it big right now.
