“I am a big 2pac fan. I was about ten studying in boarding school in Ghana when my older brother sent me ‘All Eyes On Me’ on tape. I was a fan instantly. I fell in love with ‘Only God Can Judge me’, ‘Hearts Of Men’, ‘Call You Bitch’. ‘Shorty Wanna Be A Thug’, and ‘Holla At Me’. In those days the weren’t no youtube or internet. So I couldn’t find more 2pac songs or videos to feed my hunger. So I would play that tape over and over for three years straight. It wasn’t until 1997 when I came back to the UK at the age of thirteen that I began buying every 2pac album I could afford. The man is my biggest inspiration. I am a fan and I will always be. My future wife and kids will be zoning with me to his music too one day. Love live his memory. I am motivated by his legacy. I want to leave behind one as great as his. By God’s grace and hard work.” – Kay Martay
