Slow Sundays: skyyHiRY (@skyyHiRY) & Black Sabbath

Another slow, rainy Sunday. Fa$tlife’s skyyHiRY comes through with a song screwed up by Mike Wyllin. See if you can figure out what the title means (hint: its backwards). This was off his New Years Day EP.

The second chopped and screwed track is done by Geng-Grizzly. Its a Black Sabbath song, which is crazy left-field. Steady Bloggin put it out. Anyways, enjoy…

Das Racist Breaks Up

Indie hip hop group Das Racist has broken up. Rapper Himanshu reportedly said ““You guys wanna know the secret? Alright, so I’m going to do some Das Racist songs, but Das Racist is breaking up and we’re not a band anymore” while doing a solo set last night. Today, another member, rapper Kool A.D. tweeted “for the record i quit das racist 2 months ago and was asked by our manager not to announce it yet. apparently @himanshu wanted to do it tho.”

Katt Williams Slaps Target Employee In The Face

Reports TMZ:

Katt wasn’t done after leading cops on a crazy three-wheeled chase through Sacramento on Sunday — because moments later, he hit up a Target … where he belted an employee IN THE FACE … and TMZ has footage of the face-to-hand contact.

There’s no audio, so we can’t tell what the argument is about — but by the looks of the employee’s body language before the wallop (placing his hand on his chest) the guy wasn’t looking for a fight.

Then out of nowhere Katt winds up and slaps him in the face — at which point the employee pulls out his phone and, according to an eye witness, he calls police.

Video of the aftermath surfaced on the Internet this week, showing Katt making his getaway in an electric cart … before police arrive. We hate to say it, but it’s hilarious.

According to sources at the store, Katt then ditched the electric cart and got back on his three-wheeled motorcycle. He was not arrested.

We spoke to a rep for the Yolo County DA’s office, who tells TMZ, the case is currently under review … and charges have not yet been filed against the comedian.

Jabb (@OneTakeJabb) – Conscience (prod. by @JayCornell)

About a week ago I heard that Jay Cornell had given Jabb a crazy track to write to. I really didn’t know much more about it until I heard “Conscience” last night. The track is indescribably good. A slow, haunting sample and loud, trunk-knocking drums backs Jabb’s equally hard-hitting “mixed thoughts” expressed through his lyrics. This is the first track to come out after the Pen & Paper  mixtape and its the start of something truly different. This is a song you could listen to on repeat for a long time. I would know because that’s what  I did last night. Take note, you heard “Conscience” here first.
