Stevie Wonder Speaks Out About Lil’ Wayne Emmett Till Line

In the midst of the growing backlash due to one lyric from Future’s song, Stevie Wonder has now throw himself into the pot:

“You can’t equate that to Emmett Till. You just cannot do that. … I think you got to have someone around you that – even if they are the same age or older – is wiser to say, `Yo, that’s not happening. Don’t do that.’

Sometimes people have to put themselves in the place of people who they are talking about. Imagine if that happened to your mother, brother, daughter or your son. How would you feel? Have some discernment before we say certain things. That goes for me or any other (song)writer.

Pastor Who Was Up In Arms Over Meek Mill’s ‘Amen’ Has Joined Team Cassidy

pastor

From Rap Dose:

Remember Jomo K. Johnson? The pastor behind the Meek Mill boycott when his single “Amen” released? Well the nutcase who has released Meek Mill and MMG diss songs in the past has returned. The pastor who even went as far to publish a Meek Mill bashing book titled “No Amen” is back and he’s helping Cassidy with an autobiography. Yep, you read that right.

Pastor Jomo K. Johnson has reappeared and will be helping Meek‘s arch-nemesis Cassidy (who has now devoted his life to Jesus Christ) by penning his autobiography Behind B.A.R.S. The book will be available March 30th and is already available for pre-order here.

Jesse Jackson, Jr. Throws Wife Under The Bus In New Plea Deal

Damn, how can you snitch on your own wife? From CBS:

Jesse Jackson Jr. will plead guilty to one felony count of misuse of campaign funds and then let a federal judge determine his punishment, which according to the agreement could range from probation to five year in prison.

Jackson’s deal calls for him to repay hundreds of thousands of dollars spent for things like travel and meals with a mistress and a $40,000 men’s Rolex watch he bought for himself. Jackson’s resignation from Congress was also part of the deal.

But Jackson’s pleading guilty to using campaign funds for personal expenses could expose Sandi, his campaign manager, to tax-fraud charges.

The congressman’s guilty plea says Sandi knew about improper purchases that apparently include breakfast snacks, cosmetic services, even beds purchased for campaign workers.

Sandi Jackson is expected to accept responsibility for some things because, as the congressman’s campaign manager, she signed the tax returns.

Both Jacksons could face penalties ranging from probation to jail time.

But it’s hard to believe that, with two young children at home, both would be sent to prison.

Chicago attorney Dan Webb is representing Sandi Jackson.
