Love & Hip-Hop‘s Erica Mena Gets Into Nail Salon Brawl

From TMZ:

It all went down at a fancy party inside a nail salon in Manhattan … when Erica Mena got into a heated discussion with a blonde lady named Tiffany.

Multiple people who were at the party tell us the two were squabbling over a man … and Tiffany implied that she had hooked up with Erica’s BF in the past.

We’re told Erica DECKED Tiffany … and all hell broke loose.

People rushed in to break up the girls … but both women made it clear — THEY WANTED TO FIGHT.

At one point, a man steps in to restrain Erica … and she threatens to slap him in the face unless he got out of her way. She even gives the dude a pretty nasty forearm to the body.

But just when she thinks she’s safe, Erica is BLINDSIDED by Tiffany … who somehow crept up from the side, and pounced on her prey like a ferocious ocelot (look it up, they’re awesome).

Tamar Braxton & Vincent Herbert Visit 106 & Park

Tamar Braxton and Vincent Herbert visited 106 & Park recently (Tamar performed her single ‘Love & War‘), and while there gave some interesting tips for Valentine’s Day:

This is a day that you should specifically show the people you love extra special attention, it’s so important. You don’t necessarily have to shop for gifts. You can write letters which is very romantic and you can get points for that. She loves letters, she loves things from the heart. Diamonds are great, don’t get me wrong, they work, but if it’s not like that for you –which I get because it hasn’t always been this situation in my life–writing letters, telling someone how you feel from the heart. Making dinner, us girls like when you really put forth the effort.

The things that really matter to us women honestly, are things that come from the heart so I think that if you really poured your heart out in a letter, that’s a pointer guys.

Yo Gotti Signs With Epic Records

reid-gotti

Gotti got him and his CMG movement a sizable deal with L.A. Reid and Epic Records, of which he spoke on:

This is a solid partnership that allows me to do what I do on bigger platforms, with the respect and support of the Epic team…Throughout L.A. Reid‘s career, I realize he has been a part of creating some of the biggest superstars in the industry. I feel there is no better person to partner with. After my meeting with L.A. Reid, Benny Pough and his staff felt like Epic would be the perfect home to further the growth of CMG.

A lot of labels were talking big checks, but the money didn’t interest me…I wanted a partner that wasn’t afraid to work as hard as I do. I knew that by sticking to my independent business mind frame and continuing to chase my dream, that the right situation was going to come. The independent success we’ve had thus far with our tour, merchandising and projects from myself and my first artist Zed Zilla has given me the perfect opportunity to create the best possible partnership for CMG…I have no doubt that we will take our movement to its pinnacle with Epic Records.

Epic ‘Pulls’ Song With Lil’ Wayne Emmett Till Lyric

et

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Epic Records is going to “great efforts” to take down a new Future remix leaked over the weekend with a vulgar Lil Wayne lyric that has offended the family of Emmett Till.

The New Orleans rapper made a sexual reference to the beating death of Till, a 14-year-old Chicago boy tortured and shot in Mississippi in 1955 for whistling at a white woman. Till’s family objected and the Rev. Jesse Jackson reached out to his management, The Blueprint Group, on the family’s behalf.

The label issued a statement Wednesday night apologizing for the release of the song.

“We regret the unauthorized remix version of Future’s ‘Karate Chop,’ which was leaked online and contained hurtful lyrics,” the statement said. “Out of respect for the legacy of Emmett Till and his family and the support of the Reverend Jesse L. Jackson, Sr. … we are going through great efforts to take down the unauthorized version.”

Epic will release an official version of the song that “will not include such references.”

Neither Jackson nor members of Till’s family could be reached late Wednesday. A publicist says Lil Wayne has had no comment so far.
He appears briefly on the song, alluding to the black teenager’s beating in a way too vulgar to print.

Till, a native of Chicago, was in Mississippi visiting family in 1955 when he was killed. He was beaten, had his eyes gouged out and was shot in the head before his assailants tied a cotton gin fan to his body with barbed wire and tossed his body into the Tallahatchie River. Two white men, including the woman’s husband, were acquitted of the killing by an all-white jury.

Till’s body was recovered and returned to Chicago where his mother, Mamie Till, insisted on having an open casket at his funeral. The pictures of his battered body helped push civil rights into the cultural conversation in the U.S.

Bob Dylan wrote a song about it: “The Death of Emmett Till.”

A Facebook posting on the Mamie Till Mobley Memorial Foundation page Wednesday night said Epic Records Chairman and CEO LA Reid had reached out to the family to personally apologize.

Eve Says Britney Spears Might Not Have Sung On ‘Scream & Shout’; Britney Rep Returns Fire

When speaking on will.i.am’s celebrity packed ‘Scream & Shout‘, Eve was on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live saying that she “heard that might not be Britney. That’s what I heard, but you know, I don’t know … it could be Britney. But I heard it wasn’t.”

Britney’s rep has since responded…from TMZ:

Jeff Raymond, B.S.’s publicist, tells TMZ, “It’s absolute BS. Britney sang the song. Will.i.am wanted her for this song and she sang on it.”

Eve went on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live” and said, “I heard that might not be Britney.”

A source from the recording studio cattily tells TMZ, “Was Eve even in Studio. Didn’t know. She’s clearly jealous. I didn’t even know she still sings.”
