Paralympic Athlete Oscar Pistorius Charged With Murder
This is crazy…apparently there have been other reported instances between Pistorius and his girlfriend as well….spotted on Al Jazeera:
Paralympic sprinter Oscar Pistorius has been charged with murder over the fatal shooting of his girlfriend at his home in Pretoria.
Police said they opened a murder case after receiving a call on Thursday morning that there had been a shooting at Pistorius’ home in the upscale Silverlakes gated community on the outskirts of the capital.
Katlego Mogale, a police spokeswoman, said that when officers arrived they found paramedics trying to revive a 30-year-old woman who had been shot an unspecified number of times. The woman died at the home, Mogale said.
Officers found a 9mm pistol at the scene and took the 26-year-old Pistorius into custody. Mogale said Pistorius was expected to appear in court later on Thursday.
“There are witnesses and they have been interviewed this morning. We are talking about neighbours and people that heard things earlier in the evening and when the shooting took place,” said Denise Beukes, a police brigadier, in a press conference outside the crime scene.

Lady Gaga Cancels Rest Of Born This Way Tour Due To Injury
Lady Gaga initially postponed the tour, but it appears that her injury will sideline her indefinitely. For some reason, I know that Lady Gaga is probably genuinely upset by this turn of events…..from Little Monsters:
Live Nation Global Touring has confirmed that the remainder of the Lady Gaga Born This Way Ball performances have been cancelled.
After additional tests this morning to review the severity of the issue, it has been determined that Lady Gaga has a labral tear of the right hip. She will need surgery to repair the problem, followed by strict down time to recover. This unfortunately, will force her to cancel the tour, so she can heal.
Refunds for the cancelled performances will be available at point of purchase starting Feb 14, 2013.

Jim Jones Arrested In New Jersey

According to police, Jones confronted an officer who was responding to a complaint about an illegally parked car in front of Jim’s home.
Cops say the officer ran Jim’s name through the system and noticed two warrants out for the rapper’s arrest — one for a motor vehicle violation and the other for failure to remove snow from his sidewalk … apparently, that’s a crime in NJ.
According to the Fair Lawn Patch, Jones denied the existence of the warrants and became disorderly with the officer … so the cop put him under arrest for disorderly conduct and obstruction.
Jim was taken to a nearby station where he was booked.
