Lance Bass Blasts Chris Brown For Alleged Use Of Slur

From Hip-Hop Blog:

Former N*Sync member Lance Bass takes exception to Chris Brown tossing around “F-bombs.” Breezy is accused of calling bisexual singer Frank Ocean a “f*ggot” during their brawl in late January, and Bass says he should know better.

“Calling people fa**ot and that stuff, I mean, he may not even mean what he means, but it’s a derogatory term that people throw out there and without even knowing why they are saying it,” Bass told Celebuzz. “But when it comes to Frank Ocean and knowing that he’s … very out … it was definitely meant to hurt him. It’s never good to throw those words out there that mean so much.”

“[Brown] should understand that being a black man himself. He should know that the F word is just like calling you the N word in a very derogatory way,” Bass said. “When you come from a minority like that, being gay or black or whatever, it’s like there should be an understanding, like we all get each other. But you don’t see that a lot, which is really sad.”

Toni Braxton Announces Her Retirement From Music

Wow…..I kind of expect this to change, but I change we’ll have her sister Tamar in the meantime. The upside to this is that while her “heart isn’t in it anymore”, it sounds like you may still be able to see her in concert:

I’m singing in [‘Twist of Faith’] but that’s about it for me… I’ll have do shows here and there, but I’m not going to do any albums… I’m falling out of love with it, it’s weird. I don’t know what to say when I hear songs, they don’t impact me.
