Remember this? Well, Khaled finally spoke on it…..by not really speaking on it at all:
“Well I’ve known French for a long time. I’ve never asked him, and I’m not gonna ask him because I already heard him on interviews,” Khaled said on Wednesday when he appeared on “RapFix Live” alongside N.O.R.E., Ski Beatz and his newest We the Best signee Vado. “That’s my brother, French Montana is my brother, he’s family and I don’t know nothing about that… he would keep it 100 with me because he is family, he is my friend and he’s part of the team.”
“All I know is positive and love I’m not going to distort and put that energy around me because that’s not gonna happen,” he said. “To be a boss, a leader, as somebody that’s gonna move through this jungle like a lion. I’m not dealing with that. You deal with that, I’m good.”

Jay-Z & Kendrick Lamar Headlining Yahoo Tour
During SXSW, Yahoo announced their first international music festival with Hova and King Kendrick as headliners. Titled Yahoo! On The Road, the 21-stop trek begins May 3rd in New York with additional appearances from J. Cole, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis as well as Justin Timberlake, Frank Ocean and Trey Songz (for the London shows July 9th-14th). Check dates below.
Jay-Z Speaks On Executive Producing The Soundtrack For ‘The Great Gatsby’
We spoke on this before, but Jay-Z is partnering with film director Baz Luhrmann to executive produce and record music for his film The Great Gatsby. According to Reuters, Jay will blend contemporary music with Hip-Hop for its soundtrack. The F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel hits theaters May 10th. Jay-Z had this to say below:
“As soon as I spoke with Baz and Leonardo, I knew this was the right project. The Great Gatsby is that classic American story of one`s introduction to extravagance, decadence and illusion. It`s ripe for experimentation and ready to be interpreted with a modern twist. The imagination Baz brought to `Moulin Rouge` made it a masterpiece, and `Romeo + Juliet`s` score wasn`t just in the background; the music became a character. This film`s vision and direction has all the makings of an epic experience.”
Chief Keef Released From Detention Center
We posted a visual earlier that was released in celebration of this, but Chief Keef has finally been released from detention. Let’s hope that he takes better care of his move making from this point on. From Chicago Tribune:
South Side rapper Chief Keef walked out of the Cook County Juvenile Temporary Detention Center in a red diamond-studded coat this afternoon after completing his 60-day sentence for violating his probation for a gun conviction.
About two dozen family members and supporters greeted him on his exit, handing him his baby. An uncle carried a garbage bag full of notebooks – possible rap lyrics Chief Keef had written while locked up.
He declined comment before being driven off from the West Side facility.
