Singer Morrissey has taken to The Daily Beast to pretty much breakdance on the recently deceased former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher‘s grave, writing a fairly scathing piece of how bad she was. You can read the full write-up (or write-down?) here…below is an excerpt:
Thatcher will only be fondly remembered by sentimentalists who did not suffer under her leadership, but the majority of British working people have forgotten her already, and the people of Argentina will be celebrating her death. As a matter of recorded fact, Thatcher was a terror without an atom of humanity.
As far as the rest of the UK, well….just take a look:
Taken from Mad News UK:
Yesterday The Daily Telegraph closed their online comment section because of the abuse aimed at Thatcher and a campaign to get the classic song from the Wizard Of Oz, ‘The Wicked Witch Is Dead’, to number 1 in the UK chart has been set up by a group of individuals on Facebook.
The Independent reports ‘that within 24 hours of the former Prime Minister’s death, the song had risen to number 9 in the iTunes best-sellers chart. It reached number 2 on the Amazon singles download chart. Sales figures for Monday, released by the Official Charts Company, showed that the song had already made it to number 54 in the rundown used by Radio 1. Also A song specifically written to attack Lady Thatcher, “Tramp The Dirt Down” by Elvis Costello, also rose to 79 on the iTunes chart.’

Alright so no offense to Visto (or PDP) but when I first saw this track I wasn’t really tryna post it based on the title alone, its a little too much for me. To be honest, it does sound like a hit and its definitely a eye-catching track.
Jay-Z Is Reportedly Selling His Share Of The Brooklyn Nets
Jay-Z has recently popped the top on Roc Nation Sports, and as a result, has a conflict of interest by owning an NBA franchise….so he’s apparently looking to remove his ownership. As reported by Yahoo:
Jay-Z – whose real name is Shawn Carter – owns less than 1 percent of the Nets, but has been a central public figure in the franchise’s marketing and move from New Jersey to Brooklyn.
Selling his share of the Nets is a necessary prelude for Jay-Z to obtain his National Basketball Players Association certification as an agent.
NBA rules mandate that no one individual affiliated with a player representation company can have an ownership stake with an NBA team.
Jay-Z’s Roc Nation company has partnered with Creative Artists Agency (CAA) to launch a sports representation business that recently secured New York Yankees star Robinson Cano.
The process is expected to be completed in time for Roc Nation to compete for players entering the June NBA draft, but there’s no guarantee of the timing, sources said. Those within Roc Nation and the CAA alliance aren’t “chasing a clock on this,” one source said. “This isn’t about one draft, but taking the long view of the business.”
Rocko Speaks On Removing Rick Ross From ‘U.O.E.N.O.’; Upcoming Remix
Rocko spoke with Ebro & K Foxx on what he has to do with his latest record due to the rape lyric controversy:
“Because of the type of traction that the record has as far as radio, it puts me in a position where I have to change it.
At the present moment, I have like six different verses from all types of different, talented artists, some multi-platinum. Some might have even have bigger accomplishments like Grammys and things of that nature.”
In addition to that, Rocko apparently has a well-suited replacements for the upcoming remix (which I hope we hear soon)….courtesy of a few artist’s Twitter accounts, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar & Trae are just a few of the rumoured collaborators….
