A$AP Rocky & A$AP Ferg – Nylon Guys Interview

Never would have really expected to see anybody with A$AP in their name in a BAPE store for some reason.

Hang with two members of the A$AP Mob as they kick it in the streets of SoHo, visit the Bape store, and shoot their feature in this month’s issue of NYLON Guys. We sat down with Rocky and Ferg to discuss their work and travels in the last year, their rejection of the fame game, the growth and progress of the team, and the upcoming release of the highly anticipated Traplord mixtape.

Smoke DZA – Xclusives Zone Interview

Earlier this week, Smoke DZA invited us to the studio in New York and we sat down with him for an interview. First off, he talks about who he thinks is going to win between John Cena and The Rock at WrestleMania 29 and what his finishing move would be if he was a wrestler. Then, the Harlem representer speaks on the meaning of success, working with up and coming artists, and what advice he has for new artists. Finally, he tells us about the upcoming R.F.C. mixtape and his ‘George Kush Da Button 2’ tape, which will be dropping in the summer. Interview conducted and shot by David Downer.

During our visit, Smoke DZA also let us hear alot of the music that he has been cooking up. Throughout the interview, you can hear a record he did for fellow NY rapper Troy Ave playing in the background. At the end of the clip, you can listen to previews of 3 new tracks. The first one features Big K.R.I.T., the second features Ab-Soul and the last one features ASAP Rocky. Expect big things from Smoke DZA this year.

Chris Brown Speaks On Upcoming Song Featuring Kendrick Lamar

Get More:
Chris Brown, Music News

Anything involving Kendrick Lamar is going to get a little extra news coverage, and Chris Brown’s upcoming track featuring the West Coast wunderkind is no different. He speaks to Rob Markman at MTV:

I think people automatically assumed [that] with me and Kendrick Lamar, if we actually collaborated, it’s gonna be a club joint, but for me, I always like to change and switch the envelope. Even when I did Juelz Santana on ‘Run It,’ at that time, real hard-core [rap music] wasn’t really fusing with R&B like that. I try to change it up as much as possible. It’s what I love to do. Me and Kendrick on ‘Autumn Leaves,’ it’s more of a sit in your car and ride-to record. It’s a real laid-back record, but it’s also a substance record. It’s basically saying [that] you put in so much to get so little. Whether it be in relationships or just in life, you work hard for something all the time and get so little, but you still hold on, like the last leaf in autumn.

“30 DAYS IN MAY,” a revealing documentary film chronicling the days surrounding Floyd Mayweather’s 2012 incarceration premieres Wednesday, April 3, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on SHOWTIME®. The one-hour film was created exclusively from never-before-seen footage and features the only interviews Mayweather has conducted about this “life-changing experience.”

“30 DAYS IN MAY” offers an intimate look into the life of the world’s highest-paid athlete as he prepares for one of the most challenging experiences of his life. It provides a look inside his life, from his flamboyant mansion to a surprise birthday party for his daughter, while he prepares for life in a jail cell smaller than his bedroom closet. Ultimately, “30 DAYS IN MAY” reveals a man at peace with his impending incarceration and his evolution as a human being.

“Our goal wasn’t to tell his whole story – his humble upbringing or all of his accomplishments – but rather to document the life of a modern day superstar leading up to his three-month prison term,” said Todd Crites of Turn Left Productions “What we are most proud of with ‘30 DAYS IN MAY’ is that it reveals a side of Floyd Mayweather that few get to witness – a person who is somewhat of a simple man, caring, eloquent, soft-spoken and, at times, reflective of not only himself, but also the world around him.”
