It’s not just Hov, but still….taken from Huffington Post:
The rapper and music mogul attended a meeting Thursday on Long Island, where the media was briefed on four proposals to renovate the arena and surrounding property.
Nassau County officials have been trying to come up with a plan to redevelop the 40-year-old arena for many years. The New York Islanders are its primary tenant, and they are moving to Brooklyn in 2015.
Jay-Z’s Roc Nation is part of a group that built the new Barclays Center in Brooklyn and is bidding for the Long Island project.

Big K.R.I.T. – Ambrosia For Heads Interview
Big K.R.I.T.’s King Remembered in Time mixtape is one of his most personal efforts to date. We sat down and chopped it up with K.R.I.T. about the project and he reflected on the meaning behind every track. In this part 1, K.R.I.T. talks about why he named the project King Remembered in Time (effectively after himself) and the process of recording the mixtape (he literally slept in the studio). He also talks about what he believes his Purpose is as an artist, as well as his reasons for making The Only One. Lastly, K.R.I.T. speaks on The Banana Clip Theory, his commentary on gun violence and the vicious cycle of destruction it engenders. This is Big K.R.I.T.’s definitive guide through King Remembered in Time.

Jeff Hanneman (Of Slayer) Dies After Contracting Flesh-Eating Disease Through Spider Bite
Taken from The Independent:
American thrash metal guitarist Jeff Hanneman, a member of the seminal heavy metal band Slayer, has died aged 49 from liver failure in Southern California.
Hanneman, who wrote songs “Raining Blood” and “Angel of Death”, had spent most of 2011 battling a flesh-eating disease contracted after he was bitten by a spider.
His death yesterday morning was confirmed in a statement on the band’s Facebook page: “Slayer is devastated to inform that their bandmate and brother, Jeff Hanneman, passed away at about 11am this morning near his Southern California home.”
“Hanneman was in an area hospital when he suffered liver failure.”
Hanneman’s life changed considerably after he was bitten by a spider three years ago. An open letter published on the band’s website in 2011 described the devastating physical impact the bite had on him.
It said: “As you know, Jeff was bitten by a spider more than a year ago, but what you may not have known was that for a couple of days after he went to the ER, things were touch-and-go. There was talk that he might have to have his arm amputated, and we didn’t know if he was going to pull through at all.”
“He was in a medically-induced coma for a few days and had several operations to remove the dead and dying tissue from his arm. So, understand, he was in really, really bad shape. It’s been about a year since he got out of the hospital, and since then, he had to learn to walk again, he’s had several painful skin grafts, he’s been in rehab doing exercises to regain the strength in his arm; but best of all, he’s been playing guitar.”

Gucci Mane Released From Jail — Again

Rapper Gucci Mane has just been released from jail in Georgia after spending nearly three weeks behind bars, TMZ has learned.
As we reported, Gucci was arrested April 13th for a probation violation. He’s been in jail since.
Gucci’s attorney, Drew Findling, tells us, the probation violation was triggered by a March 25th incident at an Atlanta nightclub … when Gucci allegedly bottled a clubgoer in the head, causing a massive gash.
Gucci was charged with aggravated assault in connection with the incident. That case is still pending.
He’s due in court later this month.
