Wale Speaks On Hate, Addresses Old Rapper Tweets With The Breakfast Club

I’m pretty sure most of you have seen the dig up of a lot of rappers disgruntled tweets from years ago (if not, here’s a pretty good exposé courtesy of D-Dot Omen)….Wale was certainly one of of the most ‘critiqued’, so to speak. Above, the D.C. emcee speaks on these Tweets, as well as general hate that he can’t seem to get away from. By the way, his new album is out now (and is already number one).

Snoop Says No To Gun Violence

Snoop Lion is speaking up against gun violence, joining forces with BET and League of Young Voters Education Fund to increase the peace in urban communities nationwide. Join the movement by using hashtag #NoGunsAllowed on social media today.

The partnership goes live on June 29, 2013, during BET Awards weekend in Los Angeles, CA. The League of Young Voters Education Fund, Snoop Lion and BET will host “No Guns Allowed: Disarming Violence in Our Community,” a roundtable dialogue on the impact of gun violence in urban communities. The League of Young Voters also enlisted the NAACP Youth & College Division and Casey Family Programs to join the cause and sponsor the event.

Confirmed panelists for the roundtable include Snoop Lion, T.I., Congresswoman Maxine Waters, H.E.L.P.E.R. Foundation Executive Director Melvyn Hayward Jr., writer and director of the critically acclaimed movie on gun violence Fruitvale Station Ryan Coogler and Executive Director of New Generation Foundation, Brandon Jones.

BEEF: The Daily Mail’s Liz Jones Vs. Rihanna

In the piece published on Monday, writer Liz Jones criticizes just about every aspect of Rihanna — her stage show, her personal life (specifically her relationship with Chris Brown), her fashion choices and her use of social media. The writer made references to a particular Instagram photo of Rihanna smoking two joints while traveling around Europe on her Diamonds tour.

Rihanna isn’t taking Jones’ comments lightly. Early Tuesday morning (June 25), she took to Instagram and posted a lengthy response to Jones’ article, including an unflattering photograph of the writer [above].
