IS THIS A JOKE? Waka Flocka Flame To Executive Produce Amanda Bynes Album

sp_amanda_bynes_nt_130502_wg

I read earlier that Wyclef was supposed to be working with the current basketcase that is Amanda Bynes on some music — which he quickly refuted….no need to even read further on that — and I thought it was humorous for the moment. Now, Waka Flocka claims that he will be overseeing her project. From TMZ:

Waka — who runs Brick Squad Monopoly records — tells us, the deal hasn’t been signed yet but it’s basically in the bag … in fact, he’s already hired people to start penning Amanda’s songs.

Waka says he and Amanda FaceTime at least once a week and text every day — mostly about her rap career … but also about motivational stuff, like “keeping her head up from the haters.”

Waka tells us the album will be called “Shots” — adding, “It’s going to be crazy hot.” So far, there’s no projected release date.

As for whether Waka thinks there’s something a little off about Amanda … he said, “Not at all. She has it all together to me. She is cool as hell and ready for the rap world. I think she is going to kill the game.”

And just to make sure it’s a success … Waka says he’ll be featured on several of Amanda’s songs as well.

What do I think? I think that Waka found himself a possible one-way ticket to mainstream America….and maybe celebrity sex. But who am I to know?

That’s not all Nike’s doing, either: next week, fans can get their hands on the new Championship pack, of which you can check out pics below:

The shoes sock-liners are imprinted with “2-time champion” on the left and the seasons “11-12, 12-13” on the right.

The LEBRON X LOW sports an upper skin with a unique floral palm splatter print showcasing birds of paradise and palm trees. The upper is finished with a black matte skin with gloss chromaflair palm print graphic from toe to midsole and a glow-in-the-dark outsole. It also has imprinted “2-time champion” and “11-12, 12-13” sock-liners to celebrate James’s championship.”

From MTV:

During this year’s O Music Awards’ 24-hour “Live Music Day,” which kicked off on Wednesday, W.K. spent the entire time drumming in an attempt to set a new world record.

After the arduous day came to a close, he was presented with a formal certificate for the Longest Drum Session in a Retail Store. (W.K. was posted up at the Oakley Store in Times Square for the duration of the drumathon.) MTV News caught up with the record holder to find out just how he got through it.

And while there was no shortage of protein bars or tacos (six hard shells, to be exact), W.K. insisted that it was the support of fellow guest drummers (some of whom included ?uestlove, Zac Hanson and Cuba Gooding Jr.), loved ones and fans that helped him endure.

But even with all the support from his peers, nothing could really prepare him for the range of emotion he felt. “Every emotion and every feeling from the most excited and happy to the most — I don’t wanna ever say I was sad, but in severe pain — like real physical pain,” he explained. “I didn’t anticipate that at all.”
