SNIPPET: MarieMarie (@MarieMarieMusic) – Under The Neon Sky

MarieMarie released a few snippets that definitely leaves us wanting to hear more….below is one of those snippets (as well as a very vivid description of her music).

MarieMarie has the gift of hearing dreams whispered down to her from the tops of wind turbines. These winged steel giants were the main inspiration for the singer, songwriter and harpist to write the title song of her debut album DREAM MACHINE. The poetic songs are like surreal paintings in which everything flows together and changes: nature, man, machine – dream and reality. They create a whirlwind at the centre of which this punk elf with her copper curls attracts everything. Her music, which she calls folktronic pop, is rooted in folk tradition, its antennas pointing towards electropop. The songs are power stations full of energy and emotion, especially on stage, where MarieMarie flutters between her harp and the musicians of her live band like a glowing satellite. She unleashes a veritable thunderstorm of emotions: sometimes soft, sizzling lightning, then thunder in full orchestral force, switching between tension and release – charged with electrogrooves. And there comes a point where everyone in the crowd is moving and MarieMarie spreads out her arms in reverie and spins around like a wind turbine.

UPDATE: So, according to recent reports, Ye & Kim’s baby’s name is not yet revealed (so Kaidence may not be the name, after all), and there is a good chance that they are selling the news to the highest bidder. C.R.E.A.M.

According to MediaTakeOut.com, a nurse at Los Angeles’ Cedars Sinai Hospital (where Kim gave birth to her & Kanye’s first child) revealed the name — Kaidence Donda West — which pays tribute to Yeezy’s late mother, Donda.

The game is set to begin at 11PM BST (6PM EDT). Click below to the next page (or click the above image) to get to the action.

Nigeria might appear to be in a better position than Uruguay, but given that Tahiti should provide an easy three points to both teams, they’re in a similar spot. Unless Spain finishes the day having already qualified for the knockout stage, Nigeria aren’t going to do much better against La Roja than Uruguay did, and Uruguay can probably beat Tahiti by more than five goals. More likely than not, the two teams are playing for second place in the group on Thursday night.

Uruguay were much worse against Spain than the 2-1 score indicates. They were never involved in the game at all, and never looked particularly threatening following Luis Suarez’s surprise free kick goal. Nigeria were also less than impressive against Tahiti and failed to finish a number of clear chances.

Given the poor performances by both teams in their first games, don’t be surprised to see both managers make big changes. A loss is probably a death sentence for either. – SBNation

LIVE STREAM: FIFA Confederations Cup 2013 – Spain Vs. Tahiti

Currently in progress.

Expect Spain to change their entire team or close to it against Tahiti on Thursday afternoon. While the Tahitians put up a decent showing for most of their 6-1 defeat to Nigeria, there’s obviously a bit of a different between Nigeria and Spain, as good as the Super Eagles are. A team of Segunda players would be favored over Tahiti, so Spain’s senior B team should fare just fine.

If you’re expecting a record win for Spain … well, don’t expect them to be that mean. La Roja’s biggest ever win is a 13-0 thumping of Bulgaria in a friendly back in 1933. Between Spain’s fetish for passing in circles for minutes on end and Tahiti’s reasonably competent showing against Nigeria, double-digit goals don’t seem terribly likely.

Also, they have a guy who’s better than Lionel Messi.

Paula Deen Tries To Save Face Over ‘Nigger’ Controversy

lKR5JHc

Hey man, I’m still on my Nas shit…..there’s really no point in sugarcoating a word that we all know when we’re reading these articles. Just ask Louis C.K.. Below is Miss Deen’s response to what may possibly (although probably not, let’s be real) be the end of her career in entertainment. From USA Today:

Paula Deen continues to be under fire for admitting use of the n-word.

News broke on Wednesday that the celeb chef made the admission in court depositions involving a lawsuit filed by one her restaurant managers charging discrimination. When asked if she had ever used the n-word, Deen replied, “Yes, of course.” But, she added, “It’s been a very long time.”

Deen has been distancing herself from the remarks. Her lawyer issued a statement immediately saying Deen “does not condone” use of the word.

And today in a new statement, her rep tells USA TODAY that Deen “recounted having used a racial epithet in the past, speaking largely about a time in American history which was quite different than today. She was born 60 years ago when America’s South had schools that were segregated, different bathrooms, different restaurants and Americans rode in different parts of the bus. This is not today. To be clear Ms. Deen does not find acceptable the use of this term under any circumstance by anyone nor condone any form of racism or discrimination. “
