Kevin Durant Gets Engaged To WNBA’s Monica Wright

ku-xlargeNecole Bitchie  Reports :

Over the weekend, the rumor mill was buzzing with reports that Kevin Durant had put a ring on it, after a photo emerged of the WNBA star wearing a huge rock on her finger, and the reports were confirmed last night.

After the Lynx game, Star Tribune writer Kent Youngblood posted to Twitter:

Post-game Monica Wright confirmed reports that she and Kevin Durant are engaged. So there’s that.

Seattle Storm forward Tina Thompson also spilled the beans beforehand when she tweeted:

Super CONGRATS to @monnie22 and @KDTrey5 two of my #faves so so so happy for you all! I love, love!

What’s super cute about this story is that back in 2011, Kevin Durant tweeted that he needed a basketball player girlfriend, while referencing the movie “Love & Basketball.” He not only snagged his basketball player girlfriend, but she ironically has the same name as the lead character in the movie.

They say “ask and you will receive…”

Wale x J. Cole – Winter Schemes

wale-j-cole-black-cobain

Wale links with J. Cole for a new track produced by Jake Uno (this track could appear on Self-Made 3). We haven’t had a track with these two in a few years, so this is definitely a gift following their recently released new albums. Make sure to pick up Born Sinner & The Gifted, in stores now. Warm Up 2 is on the way and this could appear on Self Made 3.

Also in attendance were DJ Clue and Power 105.1′s DJ Envy, who looked like they were having a raucous time judging by the photos.

Frank Ocean Writes Open Letter While On Tour

frankocean

From Frank Ocean’s Tumblr:

i’ve been meaning to write you more. different hotels every night aren’t so bad really. in fact- all the moving house could inspire a photo series.. not for the gram, knowing me it’s probably only for whoever controls my estate in the future and enthusiastically develops all the rolls of film i forgot to. i’m in belgium, just 7 concerts into a tour with an ambiguous ending. i’d tour for a year if it didn’t interrupt my recording or my weekend driving. i really wanted to go to cairo in between europe and australia.. might let things settle some.. go to south africa instead and place some flowers on a gate for the president. for being epic and 94. i write on paper at night. my tour manager gave me a small powder blue book at the beginning of this run with gold embossed lettering on the cover that reads ‘one line a day’.. it’s easier than you’d think to narrow the entire cinema of your day into one sentence. i never read them back in the morning. whenever morning is.. even my macbook clock can’t keep up. all the travel isn’t in support of an album or anything like that really- past or ahead. there’s no label or touring firm dollars involved. all pennies from my pocket. in support of some odd daydream. ops to photograph crowds and clouds from planes. contrast all the quiet with some noise. new noise and old noise..sober crowd, faaded crowd. all welcome.

Faith Evans & Kelly Price Perform At 2013 Essence Music Festival

Courtesy of Anthony Antoine TV:

Essence Music Festival 2013 heats all the way up with Faith Evans LIVE in the Coca-Cola Lounge. The song I most wanted to hear of Faith Evans set (outside of Waiting to Exhale’s “Kissing You”) was the classic jam “Soon As I Get Home.” Instead of taping, I simply enjoyed UNTIL Faith brings out Kelly Price to jam along. Faith’s set was brilliant and included many of her hits from “You Gets No Love,” “Love Like This” “Never Let You Go,” “Caramel Kisses,” “So Emotional” and more.
