Above is Storch’s response to the incident, courtesy of Sway…..TMZ’s original report is below. Glad he’s still here with us.

39-year-old Storch just filed a police report in NYC, claiming he was leaving the New York Palace hotel on Madison Ave. when he was approached by two men with guns while he was inside a waiting SUV who said, “Give us all your jewelry and cash or you’re dead.”

Law enforcement sources tell us Storch handed over a briefcase which contained $4k to $5k in cash … along with several pieces of jewelry, worth around $100,000.

The men also demanded the driver of the SUV hand over the keys to the ride so they couldn’t drive away … and the driver complied.

Eventually, we’re told the bad guys ran off without opening fire. Storch says he tried to chase after the guys to see where they were headed, but they got away.

Storch — who’s in town for the MTV VMAs — went to a nearby police station and filed a report.

RECAP: A$AP Ferg’s ‘Trap Lord’ Album Release Party

Courtesy of BlowHipHop TV:

The A$AP Lords were definitely holding court in Brooklyn last night for the release of A$AP Ferg’s new “Trap Lord” LP and the second day of Trap Fest which features Ferg touring through NYC to bless his faithful followers. Ferg and his brothers took over the the Bed-Stuy based Electric Warehouse, making it a sweat filled castle of thanks and praise for the Hood Pope. Holding nothing back and always ready to literally step on someone’s neck, Ferg opened up with the confrontational “Dump Dump” and eventually leading to a finale of mob mania for his street classic “Work” and his new heater “Shabba Ranks” featuring A$AP Rocky who was also on stage in full support of the A$AP Worldwide movement. Let the game of thrones continue.

Banana Beach – Pelican Bay

banana

Banana Beach is an experimental pop quintet out of Stockholm, Sweden, just done independently recording their debut EP titled ‘Window Licking’ in an office on an abandoned floor inside a factory complex, situated in the industrial southern suburbs of the Swedish capital. Bananas and beaches not being very present around these parts, the yearning for change and happiness can certainly be heard through every track on the EP with the title deriving from a French expression for window shopping.

From back to front the band consists of a dynamic drumming-duo, where Niklas Eriksson maneuvers the old-school beat-machine and Mikael Goldberg the electrical one, creating a wide spectrum of rhythm led to shore by bass-guitarist Alexander Buultjens, who together with rhythm-guitarist Peter Berg also gives vocal support to the lead-singer and guitarist Björn Kaplan.

UPDATE: Kendrick Lamar Awarded Platinum Plaque For “good kid, m.A.A.d. City”

UPDATE: Let it be known that Kendrick Lamar has officially sold a million copies in the United States (he is currently listed at roughly 1,003,000 after selling an additional 9,000 units this week). Congrats.

****************************************

Despite his album being about 60,000 records short of going platinum in the US, Kendrick Lamar was still presented a plaque by Interscope and TDE during an afterparty they hosted following the BET Experience music festival, and for good reason: good kid, m.A.A.d. City is still on track to officially sell one million copies nation-wide before the one-year anniversary of its release. The album is still selling over 9,000 copies a month, keeping it on the Billboard 200 (according to HipHOPDX).
