Theophilus London Collaborates With Spongebob Squarepants

From Hypebeast:

A cozy Southampton estate saw a takeover from down under as Theophilus London’s LVRS brand unveiled a new collaboration with Spongebob SquarePants. The unlikely venture comes out of London’s love for the childhood icon, combined with a deep-seated passion for design. The summertime affair was fitting to its locale, as lush greenery, young creatives, and an ostensibly endless supply of spiked snow cones played the backdrop for LVRS’ new range of apparel. With notables such as Jasmine Solano and Ali Shaheed (of A Tribe Called Quest) behind the turntables and a special performance by London himself, the event was packed with enough good vibes for everyone to enjoy. Here Hypebeast sat down with the artist to speak about his brand, how the collaboration came about, and the transition from Brooklyn to the Hamptons — returning with the above video.

TGT – I Need (Video)

The song is dope, but these three always appear borderline comical for some reason…..like a parody of themselves. Anyways, TGT drops their Benny Boom-directed new visual for ‘I Need’, taken from the upcoming album Three Kings which drops in a couple of weeks (preorder here).

Goodie Mob – RapFix Freestyle; Speaks On Andre 3000’s Upcoming Album

Get More:
Goodie Mob, Music News

While Goodie Mob appeared on RapFix Live (freestyle bars below), the question of Andre 3000’s return of rap (or at least making an album) was brought up, and Cee-Lo Green brought some light to what might have been going on with the OutKast legend (Big Gipp stated that 3 Stacks denied the rumors).

He just said he had a severe case of stage fright and just kind of been away from the game and didn’t know if he could truly live up — ah, I just feel like I’m talking to much personal stuff. I hope he don’t mind.

He just said he was bothered by this bar that had been set and maybe he wants to do something different, and he’ll always be his worse competition, his worse critic and maybe he don’t want to live up to what people think he should do. He’s always been exceptional and ahead of his time anyway, so anything he decides to do, next year or the year after that, we’ll still be catching with what’s on his mind.

Nas Launches Fire Victim Fundraiser

Last month, D.C. resident Stanley Young and his eight children lost their home to a fire. Nas learned about Young’s misfortune and launched a donation page for the family. His goal is to raise $50,000. You can help the family by contributing here.

This is real. It is me. I’m putting in $5,000 myself. Never done something like this, but I have faith that our American community can pull together a miracle for this strong family who needs our help right now.

I know this is just one family out of millions, and we aren’t solving a global problem. But I believe that a happy ending to a story like this can be the beginning of something bigger for our communities. Everyone, if they can, should lend a hand to our fellow man in their times of need. We’ve all been truly blessed, and the least we can do is to pass those blessings forward.
