Toyko Daimo (TWITTER)
Toyko Daimo came on the scene last Spring with the release of his debut mixtape Red Summer (below). If you haven’t checked it out, I think you should because it is a very solid tape from the young DC rapper.The tape was produced entirely by his in-house producer iLL Wonka, who has also worked with Wale, Young Moe, Shy Glizzy, Black Cobain and more. The emcee also appeared on a record titled ‘Quiet Time‘ with Black Cobain; this track can be found on Cobain’s Perfect Contradiction. Toyko Daimo is currently in the studio working on his next project, which should arrive sometime in 2014. I expect great things from him in the new year.
