So, Apparently Columbus Short Recorded An R&B Single Before ‘Scandal’…

short

…and it’s actually pretty damn good. The track is titled ‘Gave Ya’, and — while much of the track is done in falsetto — is does show that Columbus Short has fairly strong singing chops. You can check it out below…is there an R&B career on the horizon?

In related news, other, more negative parts of Columbus Short’s personal life seems to be coming to light as well in the wake of his recent arrest after beating up some guy in a bar, and (allegedly) his own wife.

Dennis Rodman Plays Basketball Game Dressed In Drag

Bruh.

While this isn’t really a surprise, I admittedly thought that he left the whole drag queen thing in the last decade. Dennis Rodman was spotted playing in a Legends of Basketball Tour in Argentina in full “uniform”. Check out some footage of the game below:

Post-Shooting Pictures Of Benzino Revealed; Nephew Arrested For Attempted Murder

Above, you can various various pictures (from Instagram) showing Benzino being visited by The Source co-founder Dave Mays, Stevie J and his significant other. From MTV:

Rapper and reality television star Benzino was shot on Saturday while on the way to his mother’s funeral and now his nephew is under arrest facing an intent to murder charge.

Benzino, who was born Raymond Scott, was driving southbound on Route 3 in Duxbury, Massachusetts as a part of his mother’s funeral procession, when his nephew, 36-year old Gai Scott pulled up alongside him and fired multiple shots into his vehicle according to WCVB in Boston.

Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz issued a statement that confirmed that there has been “growing family tension” between Benzino and his nephew, who fired multiple shots into the rapper’s SUV shortly before noon yesterday. Both men, were headed to the funeral. “At some point when the cars were side by side, Gai Scott fired several shots into the red Dodge SUV being driven by Raymond Scott,” the statement read.

Various news reports are saying that Benzino is either with “non-fatal injuries” or “in critical condition”.

Radio Host Star Says He Bought Cocaine From JAY Z In The ’80s

The clip where he speaks on it is above. From AllHipHop:

On his Shot97 Radio show, Star reveals that Jay Z once sold him cocaine to him back in the 80s.

Star states he’s “not trying to play Jay Z out” by revealing these stories about Jay Z drug past. According to Star, the man with 13 #1 album had a quality product in the 80s, but competition was stiff:

Back in the late ‘80s, I went to this man on a few occasions, hand-to-hand. He had the good sh*t. Now his sh*t wasn’t as popping as the West Indians over in the 90s and in Flatbush. Them Shower Posse n*ggas must have had that shit shipped in from Columbia or some f*ckin’ where.

Star does say Jay Z was a generous drug dealer “extended credit to a coke head in the wee hours” when Star was short on payment.

UPDATE: FUSE’s recap of what happened that night (below) = way better than than watching the clip on its own.

It all went down in Lisbon, Portgual this past Thursday, after 130+ shows done around the world. Above, King Bey gives an emotional thank you to the fans for an enormously successful tour before bringing out JAY Z for a show-closing rendition of their collaborative hit ‘Drunk In Love’ (below).

50 Cent Speaks On Drake/JAY Z ‘Beef’

This was during his appearance as guest host on a Washington, D.C. radio station (The Russ Parr Morning Show). It was mostly jokes as far as his response, aside from the fact that he only sees this as the beginning (I doubt their respective ladies — Beyoncé and Rihanna — will be jumping into the fray….but it would be hilarious).

Joe Budden Catches Flack, Gets Into Argument With Twitter User Over Anti-Sikh Photo

You can check out the tweets above (as well as the original, offending Instagram post). Spotted on Huffington Post:

Joe Budden, an American rapper and member of the hip hop group Slaughterhouse, is receiving some social media attention, and it’s not because of his music.

On Friday, Twitter user Fateh Singh posted a photo he came across on Budden’s Instagram account depicting a man wearing a turban and standing in an airport security line. Budden’s accompanying caption read, “Not on my watch Homeboy!”

Many Twitter users joined in the dialogue, expressing their anger over Budden’s photo.

After getting into a rather lengthy back-and-forth with one specific Twitter user (which you can see above), he eventually relented and took down the image. In addition, more recent tweets show that he has apologized during continued dialogue on the issue.

VIDEO: YG Hangs Out With His Mother & Grandmother

Courtesy of REVOLT TV:

During the week of the album’s release, the “Who Do You Love” artist took the REVOLT lenses with him as he hit up Los Angeles’ Power 106 radio station, stopping by Big Boy’s Neighborhood radio program to discuss the success of his debut album, which went on to move an impressive 61,000 units in the following week.

But YG wasn’t just there for an interview with the on-air power players, he was also joined by his mother and grandma, who expressed just how proud they are of their baby boy. It’s a special moment, that’ll call for anyone to immediately play My Krazy Life’s heartwarming closer “Sorry Momma”—a record that finds a rueful YG promising to do right by his momma.
