In honor of hitting 500k likes on Twitter, Ink has decided to let loose a leftover recording from early in the “My Own Lane” recording process. This was one of our favorite records for months in 2013, but near the end of the album process, it got shaved off the tracklist as it didn’t really fit the overall sound of the album. Anyways, we always loved this record and hope u feel the same way. “My Own Lane” in stores now!

Diplomats scrambled Saturday to respond to the unanimous vote by Russia’s upper house of Parliament to approve sending military forces into Ukraine.
The vote followed a request from President Vladimir Putin for approval to send troops into Crimea to normalize the political situation there.
Putin cited the “extraordinary situation in Ukraine” in making his request, adding that the lives of Russian citizens and military personnel based in the southern Crimea region had been threatened.
Late in the evening, Ukrainian acting Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said in a televised address in Kiev that he had been told by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev that no decision had been made on whether Russian military forces would indeed enter his country.
Yatsenyuk said his country was ready to mobilize its forces to protect strategic locations, including nuclear power plants.
The Ukrainian military is at the highest state of military readiness, Defense Minister Igor Tenyukh said. He credited negotiations during the day between the Ukrainian and Russian naval chiefs with easing tensions and said more negotiations were planned for Sunday.
Ukraine’s new government condemned the move by Russia’s upper house.
“We perceive Russia’s actions as direct aggression towards the sovereignty of Ukraine,” said acting President Oleksandr Turchynov on the Twitter account of his Fatherland party.
Ukrainian opposition leader Vitali Klitschko said that he planned to ask Turchynov to call for parliament to meet in emergency session to vote to invalidate the Black Sea Fleet Naval Base agreement with Russia.

Pharrell calls into The Breakfast Club this morning to respond to the backlash of not having a black woman on the cover for his new album G I R L.
I get tired of people making comments like this, “WHO GIVES A FUCK IF HE DOESNT HAVE A BLACK WOMEN ON HIS COVER”. It’s better stuff in the world to speak on then if Pharrell meets the black quota.

Folks were probably wondering what Kendrick truly thought about Macklemore’s text message following his complete shutout of the GRAMMY Awards ceremony, and now we know:
That text surprised me, but Macklemore is a genuine dude. However it panned out, I wish him much success. He touched people’s souls, and no one can take that away. Really, the whole Grammy moment was incredible. Not everyone gets that shot.
As we touched on before, we also got a good idea of TDE’s upcoming 2014 releases, and it looks like we’ll be getting a new album from the Compton emcee this Fall, as well as a possible Black Hippy album (!):
In 2014, TDE hopes to lock and load its most ambitious slate of releases: Rashad and the label’s first nonrap signing, New Jersey-based female singer-songwriter SZA, will be coming with albums, as will original team members Jay Rock and Ab-Soul. Meanwhile, Free thinks the long-awaited debut from Black Hippy – the supergroup featuring Lamar, Q, Rock and Ab-Soul – is likely to appear in 2014; Tiffith indicates that TDE is planning to release a new Lamar album this coming September, too.
This is a great year for music.

Beyonce and JAY Z’s performance of ‘Drunk In Love’ (which hilarious viewers deemed overtly sexual and pornographic) wasn’t the only problem; according to the above letters sent to the FCC regarding the GRAMMYS, Katy Perry was summoning Satan and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis were in the wrong for shoving the gay agenda down their throats. These are only about half of the complaints received….nonetheless, I doubt FCC is going to do anything (and that’s fine with me).

Beyonce began the first of six shows in London at the O2 Arena, and during her performance of ‘Drunk In Love’, she brought out husband JAY Z to rock his part for the (probably) sold-out crowd.

On Monday, Danielle Lei and her mother set up shop outside the Green Cross store with the cookies. With the store’s blessing, Lei sold 117 boxes in two hours.
Holli Bert, a spokeswoman for the Green Cross, said that after just 45 minutes, Lei had to call for backup cookies to replenish her stock.
“You put it in terms that they may understand,” Lei’s mother, Carol, told Mashable. “I’m not condoning it, I’m not saying go out in the streets and take marijuana. It also adds a little bit of cool factor. I can be a cool parent for a little bit.”
According to Kelly Parisi, chief communications officer from Girl Scouts of the USA, each region of Girl Scouts has its own guidelines.
“All the money stays in local councils, and they make all decisions on how the cookie program is run,” said Parisi in a statement. “As always, our primary concern is the safety and well-being of the girls we serve. Volunteers and parents are empowered to relocate their booths if conditions change and the location is no longer suitable.”
With no opposition from Lei’s local Girl Scouts chapter, she and her mother plan to return to the Green Cross to sell more cookies Saturday.
So far, the Girl Scouts of Northern California haven’t condemned it (why should they?), but did state that they will review proper sale locations at the end of the sale period.

Chris Brown has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, severe insomnia and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder … and that’s why he has had such anger issues … this according to new court docs.
Chris was in court today for a progress hearing in the Rihanna beating case. Documents were filed by the facility where Chris just completed 90 days of anger management therapy. In fact, Chris stayed longer, just completing 95 days.
In the legal docs — obtained by TMZ — an official from the rehab facility wrote that … in addition to his diagnosis … Chris was self-medicating inappropriately.
The facility writes, “Mr. Brown became aggressive and acted out physically due to his untreated mental health disorder, severe sleep deprivation, inappropriate self-medicating and untreated PTSD.” They never explain the cause of the PTSD. The letter also says Chris was diagnosed with Bipolar II.
The letter says Chris is on meds for the bipolar and other conditions.
Chris has learned various relaxation exercises, according to the letter, and he’s tested negative for drugs, including weed, during his stay.
The facility says he’s doing really well. It says he gets up at 5 AM and works hard. They say he’s been especially good with community service, saying, “Mr. Brown’s attitude has been beyond exemplary in regard to his community service responsibilities.”
