Sexyy Red Shares Her Support For Donald Trump: “We Need People Like Him”

On Tuesday (Oct. 3), Theo Von premiered the latest episode of his “This Past Weekend” podcast with Sexyy Red. During the hour-and-a-half sit-down in Miami, the two spoke on Drake, the success of the viral single “Pound Town,” family, and much more.

Near the end of the interview, Von brought up former President Donald Trump, who he humorously described as another “sexy red.” He then asked his guest about her thoughts on the embattled politician. “I like Trump,” she said. “Yeah, they support him in the hood. At first I don’t think people was f**king with him. They thought he was racist, saying little s**t against women.”

The St. Louis rapper continued, “But once he started getting Black people out of jail and giving people that free money, aww baby. We love Trump. We need him back in office. We need him back because, baby, them checks. Them stimulus checks. Trump, we miss you… He funny to me. I used to be watching him talking to people. He used to be calling people fat. He just bold. We need people like him.” Notably, Trump is both on a campaign for the 2024 presidential seat and in the midst of a civil fraud trial in New York.

Back in June, Sexyy Red unveiled the sophomore mixtape Hood Hottest Princess, an 11-song body of work with big contributions from Nicki Minaj, Juicy J, DJ Paul, ATL Jacob, Tay Keith, and more. Since then, she continued her momentum via the recent singles “Hood Rats” with Sukihana, “Hellcats SRTs 2” with Lil Durk, and “Shake Yo Dreads.” Red also made appearances on songs like Finesse2Tymes’ “Shiesty,” DaBaby’s “SHAKE SUMN (REMIX),” Lancey Foux’s “MMM HMM,” YN Jay’s “Perc & Sex (Remix),” Young Nudy’s “Peaches & Eggplants (Remix),” and Moneybagg Yo’s “Big Dawg.”
