Kanye Plays Kazakhstan Wedding For $3 Million
According to TMZ, Kanye West played the wedding of the grandson of the president, Nursultan Nazarbayev. Nazarbayev is reportedly a corrupt dictator worth billions, as well as a frequent violator of human rights and political freedoms (CBS). Perhaps Kanye should be more like the controversial revolutionary he once wished to be and less like the reality TV star he has now become. Pictures below.

Electric Zoo Canceled After Two People Die From Alleged Molly Overdose; More Reported Critically Ill
From New York Times:
A multiday electronic music festival on Randalls Island was canceled on Sunday, after city officials said two concertgoers had died and at least four others had fallen critically ill during the first two days of the event.
Citing “serious health risks,” the city recommended canceling the event, hours before the third day of the festival, known as the Electric Zoo, was to begin, and the festival’s organizers agreed, the mayor’s office said. The announcement said that both deaths had appeared to involve the drug MDMA, also known as ecstasy or molly, though the causes of death had not been officially determined.
“The Electric Zoo organizers have worked with city officials to reduce health risks at this event, but in view of these occurrences, the safest course is to cancel the remaining day of the event,” the mayor’s office said in a statement.
This was the fifth year that the Electric Zoo festival was held over the Labor Day weekend; last year, it drew crowds of more than 100,000 people to Randalls Island, according to the event’s Web site. The festival was to feature more than 125 electronic music acts on five stages this year, including Avicii, David Guetta and Krewella, as well as a series of official after-parties, according to its Web site.
The two concertgoers who died were identified as Jeffrey Russ, 23, of Rochester, N.Y., and Olivia Rotondo, 20, of Providence, R.I.
Mr. Russ, 24, graduated in 2012 from Syracuse University, his father, John Russ, said in a telephone interview. He said his son had gone to the festival with 23 members of his Syracuse fraternity class and friends from Rochester.
Preliminary police reports indicate that Mr. Russ went into respiratory arrest about 3:10 a.m. Saturday and was taken by ambulance to Harlem Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 3:21 a.m.
Ms. Rotondo, whose Facebook page said she was studying communications at the University of New Hampshire, was taken to Metropolitan Hospital at 8:45 p.m. on Saturday and was pronounced dead about 45 minutes later. The police said that both deaths appeared to be “non-suspicious” and consistent with drug use.
Noah Burkholz, who had traveled to the festival with Ms. Rotondo and another close friend, said Ms. Rotondo enjoyed music and dancing.”She was the nicest girl I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing,” he said. Alluding to city officials’ statement that drug use may have caused her death, he added, “She was a very mature independent girl and yes, very responsible.”
The festival is organized by Made Event, a concert promoter that has also staged concerts on Governors Island. In a statement the promoter said:
“The founders of Electric Zoo send our deepest condolences to the families of the two people who passed away this weekend. Because there is nothing more important to us than our patrons, we have decided in consultation with the New York City parks department that there will be no show today.”
Chief Keef Sued For Not Paying His Rent
From Billboard:
Chicago rapper Chief Keef is danger of being evicted from the Illinois mansion he’s currently residing in. Keef (real name Keith Cozart) is being sued by his landlord, Georghe Simoniak-Sas, for failing to pay July and August’s rent. He says Keef owes $9,400.
The six-bedroom, 5,100 square foot home is valued at over $1 million.
This is the latest in a lengthy list of legal troubles for Keef, who turned 18 Aug. 15. Last month, he was sued by a promotion company for failing to show up at a concert scheduled in London. Keef never responded to the lawsuit and had to fork over $213,019.
On March 20, he was arrested for disorderly conduct near Atlanta and released the next day.
Earlier this year, Keef was sentenced to 60 days in juvenile detention for violating his probation on a gun conviction.
Sean Kingston Sued For Participating In Gang Rape Of Teenage Fan
A couple of updates since the story broke (since we’re late): he has since settled with the fan in question (although reportedly not out of guilt). In addition, he’s already seeing the ramifications of such an accusations in the public eye. Full story below, courtesy of NY Daily News:
Sean Kingston, his bodyguard, and a member of his band have been accused of gang-raping a drunk teenage girl.
Carissa Capeloto, now 22, claims that was assaulted in a hotel room in Seattle after a concert in 2010.
According to TMZ, Capeloto has filed suit against the three men. She alleges that she’d been invited to Kingston’s hotel room for a meet-and-greet after a Justin Bieber concert, where Kingston had also performed.
When she arrived, Capeloto claims that the bodyguard picked her up and placed her on top of Kingston, and all three men gang-raped her while she was ‘obviously, intoxicated, incapable of content.”
Kingston’s alleged victim claims that the rapper, his bodyguard, and a member of his band forced her to have sex when she was too intoxicated to consent.
Kingston’s alleged victim claims that the rapper, his bodyguard, and a member of his band forced her to have sex when she was too intoxicated to consent.
Capeloto reportedly had smoked marijuana and downed seven to ten shots of vodka before the encounter. The assault stopped when Capeloto’s friend entered the room and rescued her. TMZ reports that the police were called and Capeloto was then taken to the hospital.
Capeloto wants $5 million in damages from the rapper. Criminal charges were dropped after police determined that Capeloto wasn’t credible enough for a case. Kingston has purportedly filed legal documents insisting that the sex was consensual.
On Friday, when news of the suit broke, Kingston tweeted “Don’t believe the hype…I am a child of GOD and have a great relationship with him…I live a positive life so I know I’m good.”
“In this world not matter who you are what you do…they are people trying to bring you down constantly,” Kingston wrote. “Praying on ya downfall gotta be strong.”
“The devil is working,” he continued, “But I’ve been through the fire before and it’s nothing him and his friends can do to stop me! i believe in GOD..Done.”
A trial has been set for November.
Justin Bieber Attacked At Nightclub In Toronto (PICS)
Justin Bieber was bum rushed in a Canadian nightclub by an over eager partier who tried in vain to tackle him — and TMZ has the pics.
It all went down at 3 am today at a Toronto nightclub. Sources on scene tell us JB left his safe VIP section to mingle with the regular folk — and that’s when a male clubgoer charged at him, got hold of his shirt (which he was wearing) and attempted to take him down, but failed.
Which makes sense … have you seen Bieber’s abs? Of course you have.
In the pics … you can see security rushed in stat (below) and managed to pull the guy off Bieber — successfully taking him to the ground. In the midst of the chaos we’re told JB was seen trying to defend himself, unleashing a fury of kicks.
The attacker was escorted out of he club. Police were never called.
JB and his crew also made a hasty retreat.
