@CleoSol – Teardrop

cleosol

‘Teardrop’ is a beautiful mash-up of The Verve’s ‘Bitter Sweet Symphony’, Massive Attack’s ‘Teardrop’ and Cleo’s lyrics in the opening verse.

Paving the way for a new era of retro-futuristic soul-pop, the track showcases Cleo’s diversity as an artist. She has a style and sound that is truly her own, which along with her powerhouse vocals, make her stand out from the crowd. ‘Teardrop’ is the second new track that Cleo has released for fans to download free.

UPDATE: Snoop Lion On ‘Chelsea Letely’

UPDATE: Below is an added clip of Chelsea Handler and Snoop Lion trying the dog food (mentioned below) while backstage in the Green Room.

The main topic of this interview in a really dope collaboration the two have been working on; Dog For Dog is basically food that is created for both humans and dogs to enjoy, but it also helps prevent dog euthanasia. They also talked about marijuana.

UPDATE: DMX Arrested For DUI; Rep For DMX Responds To Allegations

UPDATE: From MTV:

DMX was arrested early Friday morning (July 26), but the rapper insists that the press has it all wrong.

“Allegations about DMX being arrested for drunk driving are false. He was arrested early this morning but quickly released. X was given a breathalyzer test and easily passed it,” the MC’s rep told MTV News in a written statement, adding that the rapper was charged with driving without a license.

MTV News reached out to the Greenville Police Department in South Carolina for confirmation, but had not heard back at press time.

“He is back at his home in South Carolina and we are continuing our focus on his upcoming album and acting roles,” his rep told MTV News.

Damn. From USA Today:

The South Carolina Highway Patrol has confirmed that DMX was charged with driving under the influence.

Earlier Friday, DMX’s publicist, Domenick Nati, had denied the charge. “Allegations about DMX being arrested for drunk driving are false,” Nati’s statement read. “He was arrested early this morning but quickly released. X was given a breathalyzer test and easily passed it.”

Nati told USA TODAY that the rapper was pulled over because he wasn’t wearing a seat belt.

The rapper was seen driving “erratically” Thursday night at about 11:30 p.m. when he was pulled over on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to Sgt. Bob Beres of the South Carolina Highway Patrol’s media relations department.

After failing a field sobriety test, he was transported to the Greenville Detention Center and charged with driving under the influence, not having a driver’s license and not wearing a seat belt, Beres says.

Frank Ocean Cancels Australian Tour Due To Torn Vocal Chord

Ouch. You can check out a clip from the first and only show on that tour above (I’ve added an additional clip below as well). From Billboard:

Frank Ocean has canceled his sold-out Australian tour after suffering with throat problems on opening night. A trip to the doctors has revealed he has a tear to one of his vocal chords.

The rising R&B star had launched his inaugural tour Down Under with a concert Thursday night at Melbourne’s Festival Hall. But he didn’t pull up well.

Ocean’s Friday night show at the same venue has been shelved, and two shows next week (July 29 and July 30) at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion have also been axed, tour promoter Live Nation said today. His planned performance at Splendour in the Grass this Sunday now won’t go ahead.

“After last night’s concert… it was necessary to seek medical advice due to vocal issues Frank Ocean experienced during the show,” the promoter comments in a statement. “It has subsequently been confirmed that Frank has suffered a small tear to one of his vocal cords and has received medical advice that he must rest his voice.”

ALBUM STREAM: NBA 2K14 Soundtrack

What piqued my interest in this soundtrack was the fact that it was executive produced by Lebron James, and I wondered what music would come from the mind of one of the greatest modern athletes out there. It turns out that Bron Bron is just as mundane as today’s radio. If you’re interested in a listen, the stream for the project is below.
