The Kid Daytona & DJ Cut Killer – Classic Shit

daytona

I teamed up SPACE MONKEYS (SPMK) clothing brand, and the iconic DJ CUT KILLER, to create a legendary freestyle medley – “CLASSIC SHIT”, in promotion of my highly anticipated new project – SAVOIR FAIRE.

Cut Killer is one of the most famous hip-hop dj’s in France and Europe. For 15 years, his radio show “Cut Killer Show” has been on Skyrock Radio.. Skyrock Radio is the biggest radio station in France. Being a hip-hop aficionado, Cut Killer linked up with me and created a dope medley for the freestyle, which is a tribute to some of the most legendary French-international rappers/emcees such as Fabe, Les Little, Alliance Ethnik, Akhenaton/IAM, and NTM. Just some more lyrical gems and debonaire flows to enjoy.. Peace yall!

Sango (@SangoBeats) – Here With Me

sango

Preorder North here.

The long-awaited first official LP from Michigan-based producer Sango, North, will release digitally on Soulection July 23, 2013 with vinyl to follow.

Sango’s North brings forth a new sound, one that pulls from soul, rnb, future bass, hip hop and broken beat fusing them together with seamless vocals chops and grooves. North features collaborations from a diverse group of artists like Australia’s Ta-ku, cinematic downtempo producer Atu, nu-soul singer JMSN, story-telling rapper WALDO, newcomer vocalist Brea and Dpat who produced ‘Remember You’ for Wiz Khalifa and The Weeknd.

Following major worldwide support for his refixes, EP’s and beat tapes from the likes of Brownswood’s Gilles Peterson, KCRW’s Aaron Byrd, and Noisey (VICE) to name a few, Sango is poised to elevate the definition of what “future” music is.

10+ casual releases later, North combines the best of Sango over the last few years into one seamless musical journey. North is a love story of two people, on a journey, who find better things in themselves when they are with each other. North in Hebrew as noted visually in the album art [that Sango designed himself], representing a sense of “heaven” or “glory” are symbolic to Sango, as he sees everything he does an artist for the greater glory, the greater good, as something bigger than himself.

Tech N9ne – Hard Knock TV Interview (Parts 2 & 3)

In part 2 Tech talks to Nick Huff Barili about his new song featuring Serj Tankian from System Of A Down. Tech N9ne says that he has been a fan of SOAD since he heard their single Sugar, which he re-enacted for us. Tech not only shares what it was like linking up with Serj but also lets us in on some wisdom he got from hanging out with Serj at the video shoot for “Straight out the Gate”.

In part 3 Tech addresses rumors that Wiz Khalifa dissed Hopsin on his track “See Me”. Tech explains that Wiz is not talking about anyone is particular when he talks about a rapper with contact lenses and that people are jumping to the wrong conclusions. Tech goes on to say that he wanted to sign Hopsin to Strange Music but that he is not upset that Hopsin decided to do his own thing instead. Tech also states that he is currently working on a track with Hopsin and with Dizzy Wright. As the interview continues Tech shares a story of how Mac Dre came to a strip club Tech was running in Kansas City and expressed that he wanted to work with Tech. Later when Tech found out Mac Dre (RIP) had been shot he couldn’t believe it and called up Yukmouth to confirm. Tech was not only sadden by the news but was even more distraught to hear that Mac Dre had kids he left behind. Because Mac Dre was shot in Kansas City people associated it with Tech and turned a couple of Tech’s promo vans over in the Bay Area. After a year not going to the Bay to do shows Tech decided that he had too many people in the Bay and started doing shows again. Tech says that fans still show love for Mac Dre all over the world when he plays a tribute to him during his shows.
