RECAP: ALIFE Presents Jadakiss (Video)

If you recall, we posted on Kiss’ recent partnership with ALIFE earlier this month.

With the sweltering New York City summer in full swing, we rolled to ALIFE’s Rivington Street stronghold to chop it up with Jadakiss before he took the stage for his exclusive backyard ALIFE Session.

Watch as the OG Gotham emcee weighs in on the state of hip-hop, his opinion of the #youthculture movement, and what he’s got coming next (new Lox album, anyone?) Then, kick back and enjoy as the master hits the stage and tears it down with some of his all-time classics.

George Zimmerman Plans To Buy Second Gun, Go To Law School

Vlad Report:

According to TIME, Zimmerman told his friend Leanne Benjamin he’d like to pursue a career in the legal field so he can “help other people like me.”

“He sees it as a potential path to help other people like himself,” Benjamin told Reuters.

Zimmerman was in the process of studying for an associate’s degree in general studies last year, when he was kicked out due to the high profile case with Trayvon Martin.

“He wanted to be a cop for awhile, but he’s talked about going to law school,” said Zimmerman’s attorney Mark O’Mara told Reuters. “I will not be surprised if he ends up in criminal law. His dad was a judge, and he wants to be a prosecutor or a lawyer.”

Suli Breaks – Parents Are The Hardest People To Please (Video)

Since the beginning of time parents have heard the phrase “You don’t understand me?” come out of their children’s mouth. If not, have at least seen the thought process flash through their child’s mind, exemplified by a “sigh” or a slamming of a door after an argument. Is this merely a part of growth, a rebellious phrase every child must go through to achieve maturity or is there an aspect that is overlooked?

Taken from the ITunes versions of his EP “The Dormroom” Suli Breaks addresses the issue of the misunderstanding that exists between Parents and their children. In “Parents are the hardest people to please”, he touches on his experiences as a young adult attempting to purse his success, and the negativity that he and so many other experience from their parents as a result of this. He comments on the borderline hypocritical attitude that it’s sometimes adopted that does not allow a child to flourish outside of the constraints of the society which their parents have subjected them to. He states that

“I don’t believe that one party is always wrong and the other always right. I believe it’s alternates, hence the need for there to be an understanding between parents and their children and acknowledge that they both want the best for each other”

Much like crowd favorite on the downloadable version of the EP on his website “The Fountain Of Youth” Suli Breaks is calling for all parents to acknowledge that they can learn just as much from their children as their children can learn from them, and visa versa.

Chris Brown May Be Off The Hook Over Hit & Run Case

EXCLUSIVE - Chris Brown Gets In Another Car Accident!

From TMZ:

The L.A. City Attorney’s office has just objected to the settlement between Chris and Olga because it hasn’t yet made direct contact with Olga. The City Attorney wants to make sure Olga’s on board with the deal before they sign off on it. The judge has since continued the hearing to July 23rd.

Chris Brown will NOT be prosecuted for the alleged hit-and-run in May … at least that’s the way the victim wants it.

Brown was charged with the crime after leaving the scene of a minor rear-end collision without forking over identifying information — i.e., a California driver’s license and insurance info.

We’ve learned Olga Gure-Kovalenko — the driver of the vehicle Chris hit — has no desire to have him prosecuted, so Chris’ lawyer, Mark Geragos, has filed legal docs to have the criminal case dropped.
