According to documents filed in May by Uncle Sam, Kelis did not pay federal income taxes 9 years ago … to the tune of $134,931.59.
As TMZ first reported, the singer also skipped out on her NY state taxes in 2004 and 2010 … as well as 2 years of CA state and federal taxes — add on the new lien, and her total debt comes to $741,027.59.
In related news — Kelis recently sold a condo in NYC for about $2.2 million … so she might have the scratch to settle up with the taxman.

If you’re a fan of Storm Chasers like I was, then you’ll be saddened (but not really shocked) to hear this. Our condolences goes to Young, Samaras and his son’s surviving family and friends. From ABC News Denver:
Colorado storm chaser Tim Samaras, his son Paul Samaras, and longtime chase partner Carl Young were killed in the EF-3 tornado that tore through El Reno, Oklahoma Friday.
Tim and Paul were both born and raised in Lakewood, Colorado but most recently were living in Bennett.
Tim Samaras was considered a leader in storm chasing expertise and worked with 7NEWS, National Geographic, the Discovery Channel, Boeing, and the federal government.
A family member posted this statement on Tim Samaras’ Facebook page at 5:30 a.m. Sunday morning:
“I’m Jim Samaras – Tim Samaras’s brother. Thank you to everyone for the condolences. It truly is sad that we lost my great brother Tim and his great son, Paul. Our hearts also go out to the Carl Young family as well as they are feeling the same feelings we are today. They all unfortunately passed away but doing what they LOVED. Chasing Tornado’s. I look at it that he is in the ‘big tornado in the sky…’ We (the family) will keep folks aware of what the funeral estrangements are, but please in the meantime keep Tim and Paul in your thoughts and prayers.”
Tim Samaras was 55 and his son Paul was 24. Carl Young was 45. “Carl and Tim were the best of friends,” and chased many times, Jim said. Carl Young’s father Bob Young told CNN his son always wanted to be a meteorologist.
Tim founded TWISTEX (Tactical Weather Instrumented Sampling in Tornadoes EXperiment) to pursue tornadoes and advance the research and warning available to the public.
“Tim Samaras has led, designed, and fielded complex instrumentation research efforts over the past 30 years,” the TWISTEX website says.
Rihanna definitely blessed that particular fan while performing during the Instanbul stop of her Diamonds World Tour. This is actually a pretty regular part of her show, I hear. Additional performance clip below.

After first announcing the closure of OriginalFake, the brand by Brooklyn artist Kaws and Japanese toy maker Medicom Toy, in January, the day has finally come. On May 31, 2013, OriginalFake officially closed its doors. The brand and the Tokyo store have both closed. After serving fans for 7 years with premium streetwear and toys, the partnership has come to an end. Kaws and Medicom Toy will continue to produce toys though and we will of course keep you posted about that.

Tulisa Contostavlos has been caught red-handed in an apparent drug scandal, after she attempted to orchestrate a cocaine deal for £800. She was also videotaped and recorded during the whole thing.

The second video from Masta Ace’s MA_DOOM: Son of Yvonne features classic video clips from his illustrious career. In the song Ace lists the many reasons he got involved in Hip Hop and the music business. He expresses in the first verse all the reasons why he DID IT; some of his motivations and influences. As the listener starts to get the idea that Ace is summing up his career, the 2nd verse lists the reasons he is STILL doing it. He shouts out some of the local New York teams, the tri-state area, his family and the veterans who “paved the way” for him. MF DOOM’s production compliments Ace’s flow and delivery well and this certified Hip Hop banger.
