MOVIE TRAILER: Spring Breakers (Red Band)

Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson and Rachel Korine gets naughty with James Franco, but that’s not what makes me post this movie (due March 29th). Gucci Mane is in it.

SPRING BREAKERS tells the story of four sexy college girls as they plan to fund their spring break getaway by robbing a fast food joint. But that’s only the beginning… At a motel room rager, fun reaches its legal limit and the girls are arrested and taken to jail. Hungover and clad only in bikinis, the girls appear before a judge but are bailed out unexpectedly by Alien (James Franco), an infamous local thug and amateur rapper who takes them under his wing and leads them on the wildest Spring Break trip in history. `Rough on the outside but with a soft soul on the inside, Alien wins over the hearts and dreams of the young Spring Breakers, and leads them on a Spring Break they never could have imagined.

D. Rich Speaks On Rick Ross’s Single Box Chevy

Last week, Rick Ross released his new single ‘Box Chevy’ off his upcoming album which is set to be released sometime this year. We sat down with the producer of the record and asked him about the single. Check out our interview below:

JUKEBOX:DC: Tell us how the ‘Box Chevy’ record with Rick Ross came about?
D. Rick: My boy Spiff hit me and said they needed some tracks. [I] sent that one along wit 4 other beats. They hit me back a little while later saying they needed the files, so I knew it was a go!

J: I love the sample at the beginning of ‘Box Chevy’. What made you decide to add the Lean on Me sample at the beginning of the song?
D: That was Ross’ idea. I just sent the track as is but I love the sample too (laughs)!

J: Last year around this time you got a few beats on Rick Ross’ Rich Forever, and now this year you produced his lead single off his next album. What was your feeling after the song hit the internet last week?
D: I’m a fan of mixtapes but I’d rather be on albums. It just shows you that you have to keep working, stay patient and better your craft! I was happy when the song came out because I knew it was a big record to start the year off with. For it to be his single for his new album is big!

J: Do you have anything else coming from the MMG camp or other records off Rick Ross’s next album?
D: As of right now I don’t know for sure. But I have sent a lot of beats through, there so hopefully [I do]. That would be dope.

J: Can you tell us some other rappers you have sent beats to or currently working with?
D: 2 Chainz, Future, Juicy J, Mac Miller, Young Jeezy, Rocko, Rockie Fresh, Rich Kids, Cap-1, Scrilla & Ross.

J: In a short time you have worked with a few legends in the game. Who do you want to work with that you have not worked with yet?
I’m from Florida, so I grew up listening to Trick Daddy, JT Money & Cash Money, so that would be like a dream…but out of artists that’s out now, Drake, Kanye, Wayne, Kendrick and definitely Boosie!
