Beyonce Reportedly Lip-Synched Her Inauguration Performance

BeyonceObama_620_012113

From NY Post, Page Six:

Beyonce Knowles’ flawless performance of “The Star Spangled Banner” at the inauguration was entirely lip-synched, Page Six has confirmed. A rep for the United States Marine Band revealed that she decided to perform to a pre-recorded track at the last minute.

“All music is pre-recorded for the ceremony because there are so many eventualities and conditions that day,” Kristin DuBois, a rep for the band tells Page Six. “We performed, live, the band. But we received last-minute word that Beyonce was going to use the pre-recorded vocal track. Those were the instructions we were given. We don’t know what the (sic) reason why.”

The news will surely shock those who watched the emotional performance. At one point, Beyonce even dramatically removed her earpiece – which now seems even more ludicrous, as she wasn’t even making any noise.

A rep for Kelly Clarkson, however, tells Page Six, “Kelly did sing live!”

Prince – Screwdriver (Video); Covers Billboard

As we post this, Prince’s team is probably at work trying to remove this video from our website (so that you can only go to his own, 20pr1nc3.com. Anyways, Prince is back with an interesting lyric/performance video for the Rock & Roll ‘Screwdriver’. Check it out above (if it’s still there).

In other news, The artist currently known as Prince has also graced the cover of Billboard magazine:

Pusha T Responds To Consequence Dissing Kanye West Via Twitter ?

PushaT1Reports This is 50:

Yesterday on The Breakfast Club, Consequence and his girlfriend Jen The Pen aired Kanye West out for not sending a gift when their child was born. The couple revealed that Kanye was smashing Kim Kardashian when she was still dating Reggie Bush.

Cons also went at G.O.O.D. Music artists Big Sean and Q-Tip.

Pusha T responded to the interview on Twitter. But instead of talking a lot of trash he did it in a humorous way by joking about Consequence’s teeth. Peep Pusha’s tweet below.

Common On Cruel Winter & Next LP

Common sits down with  Vulture and tells them that G.O.O.D. Music Cruel Wintercompilation is probably not going to happen.

Does G.O.O.D. Music really have a Cruel Winter album coming?
Oh, yeah, nah, nah. I don’t think that’s happening. It was more of a rumor — cats been creating, but everybody’s been doing their solo album. So that’s what that is

Common Speaks on his next album:

What can people expect?
New beginnings, new energy. You can expect to hear me rapping on music that you never heard me rapping on before. It’s gonna be fresh. It’s gonna be original.

Who’s working on that?
I’m definitely looking at some of the producers like Travi$ Scott, No I.D., 88-Keys, Hit-Boy. This has been the first time I’m open to working and not having just one, two producers and that’s it.

The Obamas Dance To Jennifer Hudson At Inaugural Ball

Barack Obama and Michelle Obama Dance at Inauguration Ball to Jennifer Hudson “Let’s Stay Together”. President Obama introduced his “dance partner,” first lady Michelle Obama, as she emerged on stage at the Commander-in-Chief’s Ball in a long red dress, saying, “she inspires me every day.”

They danced to “Let’s Stay Together,” performed by Jennifer Hudson. Obama famously sang a line from the song at an Apollo Theater fundraiser a year ago.

First lady Michelle Obama wore wearing a custom ruby-colored chiffon and velvet gown by Jason Wu.

The was paired with a handmade diamond embellished ring by jewelry designer Kimberly McDonald, and shoes by Jimmy Choo. At the end of the inaugural festivities, the first lady’s outfit and accompanying accessories will go to the National Archives.

Wes Walker’s Wife Airs Out Ray Lewis On Facebook

As the Ravens continued their goal for a Super Bowl title after beating the New England Patriots, Wes Welker’s wife took to Twitter to ‘remind’ or ‘enlighten’ folks of Ray Lewis’ checkered history:

“Proud of my husband and the Pats…by the way, if anyone is bored, please go to Ray Lewis’ Wikipedia page. 6 kids, 4 wives. Acquitted for murder. Paid a family off. Yay. What a hall of fame player! A true role model!”

Well, she ended up deleting the post while replacing it with an apology of sorts, which was probably coerced:

“I’m deeply sorry for my recent post on Facebook. I let the competitiveness of the game and the comments people were making about a team I dearly love get the best of me. My actions were emotional and irrational and I sincerely apologize to Ray Lewis and anyone affected by my comment after yesterday’s game.

“It is such an accomplishment for any team to make it to the NFL playoffs, and the momentary frustration I felt should not overshadow the accomplishments of both of these amazing teams.”

REPORT: Florence Welch (@flo_tweet) Performs Kendrick Lamar On The London Tube

I hope we can snag a visual soon (if ever). From Gigwise:

Kendrick Lamar’s concert at the Hammersmith Apollo was star studded, with attendees including Nicola Roberts, Jameela Jamil and Tinie Tempah.

However, Florence was the only one to get the tube on her way home, to try and avoid the traffic.

A source tells The Sun, “Florence jumped on the Tube after Kendrick and, as you can imagine, every carriage was packed. At first she tried to keep a low profile but it didn’t take long for a few people to recognise her.

“They started singing ‘You Got The Love’ but instead of bailing at the next stop, Florence joined in. It was brilliant. She finished ‘You’ve Got The Love’ before changing to the Kendrick Lamar song ‘Backseat Freestyle’.”

Florence has been a hip-hop and r&b fan for a while, as she previously toured with Canadian r&b artist The Weeknd. She’s also good friends with A$AP Rocky, and featured on his track ‘I Come Apart’.
