JABB – ‘Sensei’ (Album Stream)

Alexandria, VA’s finest, JABB, releases his first full-length project in years, entitled Sensei. The album showcases themes we can all relate to in the pandemic; the hustle and drive for more, romantic “entanglements”, and the struggle and stress when trying to make it. JABB shows that he can easily navigate the mainstream sound, rapping over modern Trap beats, and using Autotune easily. Organic collaborations with artists like 4Lo Drilla (free him) and VonnyFrmmDaAtm are must-listens, as well as songs like “Bentley Truck” and “Different”. The project is cohesive and enjoyable the whole way through, but each song could be a Singles by itself. Stream Sensei below.

Houston Rockets & Washington Wizards agree to Russell Westbrook-John Wall Trade

Farewell to one of D.C.’s biggest icons ever, both on and off the court. From ESPN:

The Washington Wizards and Houston Rockets have agreed to trade two disgruntled star point guards, John Wall and Russell Westbrook, in a blockbuster deal, the teams announced Wednesday.

The Wizards are sending Wall and a lottery-protected 2023 first-round NBA draft pick to the Rockets for Westbrook in a deal that both players wanted and had been simmering for weeks.

The 2023 first-round pick is lottery protected for the Wizards. If it doesn’t convey in that year, it has a succession of protections that include picks Nos. 1-12 in 2024, picks 1-10 in 2025 and picks 1-8 in 2026, sources said. If it hasn’t conveyed as a first-round pick to Houston by 2026, it becomes a second-round pick in each of 2026 and 2027, sources told ESPN.

Casanova Turns Himself In On Racketeering Charges

From TMZ:

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … the Brooklyn rapper surrendered at NYPD’s Midtown South Precinct Wednesday night at around 11:15 PM. We’re told his attorney was with him, and the FBI quickly swooped in to take him into custody.

According to docs, Casanova and 17 others are part of the Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation gang that’s “committed murder, shootings, robberies, and assaults against their rivals and against fellow members of Gorilla Stone.” According to the indictment, the gang’s also accused of selling crack, coke in NYC and surrounding suburbs.

And, get this … federal prosecutors allege the gang “engaged in brazen fraud by exploiting benefits programs meant to provide assistance in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Casanova — who was the last alleged gang member still at large — was hit with one count of conspiracy to commit racketeering, one count of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, and one count of possession of a firearm for drug-trafficking. If convicted, he could get life in prison.
