MC Hammer Is Tired Of Owing The Goverment, Or Anyone Else For That Matter

From TMZ:

Not too many people fight back when the U.S. Government comes after them for money — but MC Hammer is not most people … so he’s standing up to The Man.

As TMZ first reported, the government filed a lawsuit against Hammer and his wife to get the $779,585 it claimed he owed in back taxes.

But Hammer isn’t about to just write a check … he filed a response in federal court this week claims he settled that debt already. In fact, he’s asking the court to grant him a judgement to recoup his legal fees.

Nelly Sued by American Express for Credit Card Debt

From TMZ:

Nelly ran up a $20,403.64 credit card bill with American Express — which seems totally reasonable for a big name rap star. Just one problem … AMEX says he never paid it!

The credit card company filed a lawsuit against Nelly (real name Cornell Iral Haynes, Jr) in Missouri back in October to try and get their money back (plus another $3,000 in attorney’s fees). So far though, they claim Nelly has refused to pay what he owes.

A court hearing is scheduled for January 9. Calls to Nelly’s camp were not returned.
