DMX Prison Stay Extended For Sneaking Drugs In Prison

DMX just scored an extended stay in his Arizona prison after the rapper was allegedly caught with drugs behind bars … but that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, DMX broke SEVERAL rules in Yuma state prison since January — including drug possession, failing or refusing a drug test, smoking when he wasn’t supposed to, being disrespectful, disruptive, and disorderly … the list goes on.
A rep for the prison wouldn’t specify what kind of drug officials found on the rapper.
All told, DMX had seven disciplinary infractions — and we’re told, he’ll be stuck in Yuma prison for AT LEAST another week … and possibly much longer.
X was supposed to be released tomorrow, seven months after he was sentenced to serve time for a probation violation.

Foxy Brown Mooning Charge Dropped

From Rap Radar:
Foxy has another reason to pull her skirt up after a NY judge dismissed charges on her violating an order of protection filed by her neighbor Arlene Raymond. According to various reports, Raymond decided not to take the stand and testify against the rapper. If found guilty, Fox faced up to a year in jail. Following the court appearance, Foxy said of the woman she struck with a Blackberry in 2007:
“It’s rooted in jealousy, it’s a scarying thing like borderline obsession,” she said. “Someone wants to be you and have the life I worked very hard for.”

Kevin Powell Teaching at George Mason University

Kevin Powell Teaching at George Mason University

Kevin Powell, nationally acclaimed activist, public speaker, and author or editor of 10 books, is teaching a Summer course at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. Kevin, who was also a 2010 Democratic candidate for Congress in New York City, where he is based, has long been a fixture on American college campuses as a highly sought after lecturer.

But, according to Kevin, he wanted to do something different this

Summer: “I actually taught at New York University in the 1990s, both in a Saturday program for high schoolers and a first-year English course. Coming off my 2010 Congressional campaign I’ve been thinking long and hard about various ways to work with and engage the American people, especially the younger generations. George Mason University offered me an opportunity to teach an empowerment seminar to a group of incoming first-year students. It is a great way for me to share my 25-plus years of life experiences as a leader, writer, community organizer, and someone who has been very forthcoming about my life journey and life work. And to encourage these students to not only become civically engaged, but to forever think critically about the world we inhabit.”

As Kevin is teaching this Summer, he is also working on his 11th and 12th books: “Barack Obama, Ronald Reagan, and The Ghost of Dr. King:

Blogs and Essays” (to be published Fall 2011) and “The Education of Kevin Powell,” a memoir about his childhood and youth (to be published Fall 2012).

Welcome Home Gucci (Miami Edition)

Since Gucci Mane’s release from jail this past weekend, he’s been celebrating non-stop. Last night, he visited the King Of Diamonds in Miami with Ace Hood and journalist to the stars, Shaheem Reid. For the latest edition of Rap Radar’s Guest List, Sha gives us his take on the festivities.

What’s up Rap Radar fam? I’m down in Miami shooting something real special with the homie Ace Hood. About 2 A.M. this morning, we hit King of Diamonds, which is so over the top right now (in a great way.) Besides women dancing (Chi Chi you have plenty of jokes!), they had a series of boxing matches. How crazy is that? I missed RAW last night (what up CM Punk?) But got my fill of squared circle action. Lol.
Gucci was there with his crew including Coach K and Twin. Mr. LaFlare was all smiles, says he’s “doing great. Doing excellent” since coming home. N.O.R.E. was in the building as well. It was all love. Funniest thing in the world was watching Ace and Gucci throw stacks at the girls while they fought. One chick got laid out Debo style… Brutal… Last thing, the new phrase is “packs on packs on packs.” The ones come in packs of thousands wrapped in plastic. Lol.

50 Cent Explains Signing Kidd Kidd

Get More: MTV Shows

Now that 50 Cent’s added Kidd Kidd to his G-Unit Label, he explains to MTV his reasoning for signing the New Orleans artist Just last month, Kidd Kidd was shot six times in his hometown. He now has to wear a colostomy bag. Shit, man.

“It’s a lot goin’ on down there, and because I experienced it, I didn’t move away from it. I actually ID’d with the situation a little more. He got hit six times, he got a bag on now. Columbia, when that situation took place with me, they walked away from me just because they’re not familiar with the actual environment and what happens at different points. It don’t make me no difference: I understand it.”
