If you haven’t noticed, there is a little love affair going on between fashion and music. For a while now, many designers have been greatly influenced by some of today’s greatest musicians. An example, the singer for Florence + The Machine, Florence Welch is Gucci’s creative directors current obsession. Gucci’s next collection is all inspired by Florence’s long and goddess-like dresses. While some designers get there inspiration from musicians, others are the inspiration. Singer Janelle Monae style is different and not common being that she wears suits always and never would dare to put on a dress. Some would consider it original but the truth is, Janelle was inspired by fashion’s greatest icon Coco Chanel herself.
