TMZ reports:

Paul Walker died from the combined effects of traumatic and thermal injuries sustained from the Nov. 30 car crash … this according to the L.A. County Coroner’s Office.

Translation — Paul did not die from the impact of the crash alone. He burned to death after the Porsche GT crashed into a tree and a pole and exploded into flames.

The man who was driving the Porsche GT, Roger Rodas, died from multiple traumatic injuries suffered upon impact. Burning was not listed as a factor in his death.

The coroner says toxicology results for both men will be available in 6 to 8 weeks.

The Medical Examiner says both deaths have been ruled as an accident.

Sources in the coroner’s office tell us … both men were positively ID’d by using dental records.

Walker and Rodas were killed Saturday in Santa Clarita, CA when the Porsche GT they were in veered off the road, slammed into a pole and exploded in flames.  The cause of that crash is still under investigation.

Paul was 40. Rodas was 38.

@CousinBubb – 100K ft. Scarface & Saad (Prod. by Folkz)

DC native Cousin Bubb presents his latest single, “100K”, featuring rap legend Scarface along upcoming rapper Saad and a beat from Folkz (AKA Whitefolkz). Bubb has been a veteran MC for years, getting exposure from places like the Washington Post and DMVLIFE.  On “100K” he spits his braggadocios claims well, with line after line and a memorable hook (“The difference between us? A hundred thousand dollars…”).  Scarface also kills it, with angry violent verses (“”For 100 grand he can leave you face down”) before passing it to Saad, who can definitely flow too.  Folkz kills it on the production, with catchy synths, heavy bass, 808s and some guitar stabs.  This track is definitely worth checking out, Cousin Bubb is on to something.  You can stream/dl “100K” below or support on iTunes.

Listen To An Unreleased Phone Call With Ol’ Dirty Bastard From 1997

In 1997, 23-year old stockbroker (and Wu-Tang fan) Ian Gold obtained ODB’s personal phone number and called him out of the blue.  They talked for nearly 10 minutes about touring, Steve Rifkind, the stock market and more.  The tape remained unreleased until Gold put it on Youtube and sent it to FADER magazine.  He told the magazine  “I have no clue why he kept me on the phone, I guess he liked bantering with me.”  The tape was discovered by a friend of Gold’s who sent it to him.  Enjoy this absurd conversation.

Gucci Mane Faces Up to 20 Years in Prison?

Screen-Shot-2013-09-10-at-20.10.44

CNN reports:

Rapper Gucci Mane was charged in federal court Tuesday with two counts of possessing a firearm as a felon after two September incidents during which he showed a gun and threatened police, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia.

Reports at the time indicated that the “Lemonade” rhymer was arrested in Atlanta on September 14 after a friend flagged down police to say he was concerned about the rapper’s behavior.

After Gucci Mane became “increasingly agitated” and threatened officers, police said, he was taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct, marijuana possession and carrying a handgun.

The federal prosecutor’s news release indicates, however, that there were two incidents in September, two days apart and on the same week that Atlantic Records reportedly dropped Gucci Mane, 33, whose real name is Radric Davis.

“On September 12, 2013, Davis, who was a felon at the time, was found in possession of a firearm,” the release said. “Then, just two days later, on September 14th, he again possessed a firearm different from the earlier gun. On both occasions, Davis displayed the loaded firearm, acted erratically, and made threats to individuals, including police and his attorney.”

Atlanta police and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, who are investigating the incident, applauded the arrest. Atlanta Police Chief George Turner said in a statement, “We cannot tolerate convicted felons ignoring the law by carrying firearms and endangering our citizens.”
