From VIBE, where you can read more on the story:

The Toronto rapper/singer, who is still riding the massive wave of his latest LP Nothing Was The Same, plans to dump a handful of songs from the stash sometime before the New Year’s ball drops—but only if you’re on your best worst behavior.

OVO stans remember the four-song warmup Drake released on his blog back in June, which included his “Jodeci Freestyle” collaboration with J. Cole, and guest features on PARTYNEXTDOOR’s “Over Here” and Migos’ “Versace.” Drake says his new material will be rolled out in a similar fashion.

“Not an EP, but maybe a blog thing like how I did ‘Versace,’ ‘The Motion,’ all those in one night,” Drake says of his unreleased songs. “I’ll probably do ‘Trophies’ and three or four other records.”

Aside from the Hit-Boy produced track that Drake has previewed during his Would You Like A Tour? dates, he intends to include the remix to “Wu-Tang Forever,” which was first reported on VIBE.com back in September.

“[‘Wu-Tang Forever (Remix)’] will probably come out with all that stuff—I hope,” Drake adds. “It’s on 40. He has all the verses.”

Eminem’s Childhood Home Destroyed By Fire, Demolished

What could have been arson ends up being the demise of Eminem’s childhood home. From NME:

The home, which features on the cover of Eminem’s new album, ‘The Marshall Mathers LP 2’, as well as its 2000 prequel, was the owned by the Detroit rapper’s mother between 1989 and 2003. On November 7 the property caught fire and was demolished last week (November 20) after officials at Michigan Land Bank, who own the property and land it sat on deemed the building “structurally unsafe.”

MLive, a local Michigan paper, reports that crews started tearing down the home last week and are expected to be finished with debris removal at the lot by the end of this month (November). “The condition of the property post-fire presents a safety hazard that the Land Bank is responsible for removing,” Michigan Land Bank director Kim Homan said in a statement. “The goal is to demolish and clean up the site, so neighborhood safety and order can be restored.”

Prior to destruction, Eminem’s teenage home went on sale at auction. A fan from Tennessee called Shelly Hazlett has submitted a $100 bid for the property and said she would turn the house into an Eminem museum if her offer was approved by the state. The house – one of many abandoned houses in the neighborhood – had a starting bid of $1. State officials tried to reach out to Eminem to see if he wanted to bid on the property, but didn’t receive interest. The land the property sat on is still available to purchase.

Suge Knight Speaks On Snoop Dogg’s ‘Doggystyle’, 20th Anniversary

A couple of dope excerpts from Suge’s recent interview with Rolling Stone (below). Old habits die hard.

What do you remember most about what went into making Doggystyle?
We were able to make sure [Snoop] didn’t go to prison to make the album. We only had one song done, and then after that it was the [Philip Woldemariam] murder case and the trial. When we got ready to start the trial, $5 million had to be paid to a legal team. And at the time Snoop never sold no records. Jimmy [Iovine], Interscope, those guys were saying they’re not going to participate in trying to help keep him out of prison, because they didn’t think they were capable of doing it. Because of the simple fact that it was a murder case. If he would have got found guilty, he’d have died in prison. He’d have been there the rest of his life.

What do you remember about Doggystyle’s production?
[It] was was pretty much luck. Everybody thought [Dr. Dre] would be doing the records, but Daz pretty much did the whole album. And at the end of the day, once Daz finished it, everybody wanted Andre to get the credit. Next thing I know Daz is having a meeting with Andre and them and came back and said, “It’s okay, give me a few bucks and I’ll sign anything over that says produced by Andre instead of me.”

“Ain’t No Fun”… one of the homies from The Swans [ed note: the Mad Swan Bloods, or MSB, are a Los Angeles subset of The Bloods street gang] named Pooh, all them dudes already had a record done. And they came and played it for us in the studio. They played us the demo. Everybody looked at it like it was alright. And then after they left, shit, everybody was chopping that same beat.
