Snoop Dogg – VIBE Interview; Gives His Take On Kendrick Lamar/GQ Controversy
Snoop Dogg — aka Snoopzilla currently for his 7 Days of Funk collaboration with Dam-Funk — was surprised by GQ’s comparison of TDE to Death Row Records. “They said what?” was Snoop’s initial reaction when VIBE asked about GQ’s comparison of TDE, the record label of rising hip-hop star and current GQ cover man Kendrick Lamar, to that of Death Row Records, the iconic ’90s West Coast rap label that helped launch gangsta rap and released several of Snoop’s early albums. Even hip-hop tastemakers generally agreed that GQ’s cover story on Kendrick Lamar read like “a Hip-Hop outsider trying to explain this new movement to other Hip-Hop outsiders.”
So, we asked Snoop if he thought TDE was the new Death Row Records. “No, they’re not the new Death Row,” Snoop deadpanned, “because TDE did it completely different than Death Row did it. Death Row did it with a gangsta approach.” The Doggfather breaks it down beautifully above.

It has since been updated that Lamar Odom has responded, saying that he was in fact drunk, not high on crack. Whatever. From TMZ:
Lamar Odom’s drug problem is only getting worse — at least that’s how it looks in this video, shot this month and obtained by TMZ, showing Lamar incoherently rapping without his shirt on … talking about drugs, making money without the NBA, and cheating on Khloe Kardashian.
Lamar appears out of it, rapping about making money off his fragrance “Unbreakable,” and how he smokes drugs to make “the pain go away.” He even drops Kanye’s name.
But the crazy part — Lamar raps, “And when Khloe’s out of town / I still be on the DL.” His friend then follows up, “You know what it is / We the QU [Queens] pimps / Ask any of these shorties / We ran through their cribs.”
Translation: when Khloe’s away, Lamar will play.
As we reported, Lamar’s currently training hard in Rhode Island, trying to get his ass back in shape for the NBA — but drugs are still obviously a big part of his life.
Dr. Conrad Murray: “I Held Michael Jackon’s Penis Every Night”
So….yea, this was apparently a real interview. From TMZ:
Dr. Conrad Murray says he and Michael Jackson were so tight, he would hold his penis for him.
In a bizarre, rambling interview with The Daily Mail, Murray says, “You want to know how close we were? I held his penis every night to fit a catheter because he was incontinent at night.”
Murray went on to say, “He wore dark trousers all the time because after he went to the toilet he would drip for hours.”
And there’s this mystery … Murray says, “Michael didn’t know how to put a condom on, so I had to do it for him.”
Murray also discloses some of the things TMZ revealed years ago — that Murray believes Michael killed himself. Murray claims when he walked out of Michael’s bedroom the day he died, “I believe he woke up, got hold of his own stash of Propofol and injected himself. He did it too quickly and went into cardiac arrest.”
And, Murray suggests, MJ’s kids have 3 different fathers, and Michael isn’t one of them. Murray says, “Michael told me he never slept with Debbie Rowe.”
And, Murray insists, Michael told him he had been sexually assaulted by one of his doctors while under sedation.
And this bizarre comment. Murray suggests Michael predicted he would die on Murray’s watch. He says MJ once looked at him and said, “You know, for the rest of your life and my life our names will become inseparable.” Murray says MJ smiled and said, “I am clairvoyant.”
