Swizz Beatz Admits To Fathering Child in London

The New York Post reports that the 33-year-old producer, who is married to Alicia Keys, took a paternity test with a UK woman who claimed Swizz was the father of her child. The producer flew to London in 2009 with his wife future Alicia Keys, and took a Paternity test. The test proved that Swizz Beatz was the father of the 3-year-old child, whose mother is UK singer Zhanna Andrianova.

Hip-Hop Reacts To Troy Davis Execution

Troy Davis was officially pronounced dead at 11:08 pm EST last night in the State of Georgia. Last night, Davis’ execution was delayed due to a request for a stay, but it was denied by the Supreme Court hours later. Troy Davis was convicted of murdering an off-duty police officer in 1989, but witnesses have recanted their testimonies over the years. Recently, thousands across the nation protested and petitioned to prevent today’s execution. Whether they were for or against the decision, the Hip-Hop community took to Twitter to react on yesterday’s events. After the jump , check out what they had to say

Is that drug hangover why you disappeared after you released your second album?
I wanted to clear my head, besides detox. I had to look at the root of the whole problem, and that was work and the business.
How so?
I wasn’t trying to hear it from nobody. I’m not even going to attack the people in my life that didn’t step in and try to stop it, ’cause I was just so bullheaded. There’s no way to slow somebody when they’re speeding down a path of destruction.
I thought I was dealing with it in the proper way. I was in the moment. And when you’re that young, with that opportunity, all that money, and all that respect and power, sometimes you run with it. ’Cause I was like, “Man, you don’t know if this shit’s gon’ be here tomorrow.”
