T.I sat down with MTV and he let them know he’s 75% done with his new album and has recorded 70 tracks. He says he’s bringing back the vintage TIP sound and plans to get back in the lab with Dr. Dre during its finalizing stages.

We plan on getting back in and coming up with a few more, so you never know what could become of that. We got one with Akon, did a few records with Rico Love. Man, I got records with just about everybody. We just putting it together, we done did about 70 records. So now we’re in the narrowing-down process. So we’ll narrow them down, we’ll do probably about 15 more. We got a lot of hot, old-school, vintage T.I. records on there. I’m talking like gutter, gangsta, intellectual ignorance, hard-core stadium sh–, but at the same time we got those over-the-top crossover records as well, big features and whatnot that we plan on putting into play.”

Get More: RapFix Live

Despite the issues with Warner, Pill is putting attention toward Epidemic and also gives MTV an update (4:42 mark) on his project with Big Boi and Killer Mike .

We working, we thinking about dropping a tape, honestly ’cause me and Big and all us we done did records already. We thinking about droppin’ a tape and then droppin’ an album. We already workin’, we getting’ it in. It’s a full-time grind. Them two are rap greats and for them two to actually want to do a project with me, it’s unbelievable. For other people to try to think that I’m not lyrical enough or I’m not as good a rapper — you got guys that everybody looks up to as rappers doin’ a project with me. So you know I’m just ready for that shit to actually take off so we can show people what hip-hop look like in the flesh.
