In Progress now
Thanks to XXL, we get to hear the current state of 50 Cent (music, non-music ventures, thoughts on Hip-Hop, etc.).
From TMZ:
First Tom Cruise, now Kanye West is comparing his profession to BEING AT WAR … saying just like soldiers and cops, HE PUTS HIS LIFE ON THE LINE when he goes to work.
Yeezus made the statements to Saturday Night Online this weekend, saying rapping is very dangerous work — “This is like being a police officer or something … or like war or something.”
“You’re literally going out to do your job every day knowing that something could happen to you.”
But Kanye says it’s not JUST the physical risks (he says he could slip on the stage) … KW also risks getting his feelings hurt — because people could watch a show and decide they don’t like him.
Yeah, just like a cop or a soldier.
T.I. was recently on DJ Scream’s radio show to talk about his big signing to Columbia Records. He also spoke on working with Lil’ Wayne, Grand Hustle (of which he says is still independent) and more.
You can check out plenty more of Capital FM’s interviews from this year’s Jingle Bell Ball here.

There were a lot of important folks here (Paul Rosenberg, Stretch Armstrong, Lord Sear, DJ Whoo Kid and more), but the Shade 45 crew got producer super-legend Rick Rubin on the air to speak on working with Eminem, White people in Hip-Hop, some Def Jam history and much more.
ScHoolboy Q speaks on rap legends JAY Z and Nas in a bonus clip from his recent interview with Peter Rosenberg….and since we somehow missed it, you can enjoy said interview below.
50 Cent chops it up with DJ Whoo Kid on this week’s installment of the Whoolywood Shuffle. The topics include his current boxing endeavors, the story behind he and Ja Rule’s interesting flight incident and his newest album scheduled for January 2014.
From TMZ:
Paul Walker’s death may have put a halt to production on “Fast and Furious 7” … but last night the movie’s director told us there are absolutely no plans to abandon the flick.
A somber James Wan was leaving LAX when he told us how the cast and crew are holding up after Paul’s death a week ago … and assured us ‘F&F 7’ is still a go.

In 1961 ITN reporter Brian Widlake met Nelson Mandela, while he was in hiding, to conduct the former president’s first ever TV interview. The 42-year-old was on the run from the police at the time, and Widlake had to pull some strings to arrange to meet him in his hideout, with the interview part of a longer ITN Roving Report programme about apartheid.
The following year Mandela was arrested on allegations of sabotage and other charges and sentenced to life in prison, where he spent 27 years before finally being freed.
During an interview with Tall Boy, Kanye West spoke on his new Adidas deal and took the time out to apologize to Nike for his recent remarks blasting the apparel empire.

Busta Rhymes got on Skype with Sway during the last RapFix session as explained what fans can expect of his collaborative project with Q-Tip (The Abstract & The Dragon) which drops December 12th.
The above header is taken from an interview that Kanye West’s conducted at Miami’s Art Basel (that Rolling Stone was present for)…..he was also asked about upcoming projects, and this is what was said:
West also offered some brief insight into his next album project during the talk. “I think my next album is going to be eight songs,” West said. “It’s just reducing down the amount of information that you need. People say a design is the point where you can’t take anything else away. [Yeezus] was very, very designed. I took a departure from radio and popular music in order to get this seat here. If I hadn’t made Yeezus, I wouldn’t be sitting here with this cool font at Basel right here.”
Probably the best and most (positively) entertaining interview off all during Kanye’s still-in-effect promo and tour run. Topics include Kanye’s music, his tour, Michael Jackson, J. Dilla and more.
Kanye West must be hitting up all stations in whatever city his tour is currently stopped in. Here, we have his latest interview with Rickey Smiley & Co., where he speaks on the prison system, his mother Donda, Kim Kardashian and more. Additional clips below.
Rick Ross (and Fat Trel) recently called in to Hip Hop Nation, and while on the phone, he explained why he delayed his upcoming album:
I’m still putting final touches on the album, man. Making that classic is more important than anything. Making sure the streets are overwhelmed by what I’m doing is what’s most important. I’m gonna try to get it to you, and if I don’t, I’mma get it to you ASAP.
Fat Trel also spoke on how he was signed to MMG, what he’s working on currently and more.
Unfortunately, the above preview of sorts is all you’ll see for now, as ESPN postponed the clip to cover this breaking news story.
