Rick Ross releases his ninth album Rather You Than Me, which features appearances from Meek Mill, Yo Gotti, Future, Ty Dolla $ign and more. You can stream that below; we also included the new video for ‘Trap Trap Trap’ (featuring Young Thug and Wale).
Shy Glizzy Feat. 21 Savage – No I.D.
Seemingly backing away from the “Jefe” name change, Shy Glizzy is back with a new banger titled ‘No I.D.’, which features Atlanta rapper 21 Savage. Check it out below.
New Mixtape: Wale – Before I SHINE (w/ DJ Luna)
Something to hold the fans over until SHINE finally drops. Featuring previously heard tracks ‘Heisman Watch’, ‘Groundhog Day’ and Wale’s remix of Ed Sheeran’s ‘Shape of You’. The D.C. rapper’s ‘Nas Is Like’ freestyle and his addition to WillThaRapper’s ‘Pull Up Hop Out’ also make an appearance.
Jefe (Shy Glizzy ) ft. 21 Savage – No I.D. (Prod. Su$hi Ceej)
Jefe and 21 don’t need “No I.D.” as they flex over a sample-based beat by Ceej from Two-9.
Tino Loud Feat. 3ohBlack, JJ By The Wayy & WillThaRapper – Chase A Check
New D.C. For his latest, Tino Loud drops off a huge posse cut titled ‘Chase A Check’, which features fellow DMV peers 3ohBlack, JJ By The Wayy and WillThaRapper. Check that out below…

Did Goldlink Steal From Another Artist? (UPDATE)
UPDATE: Goldlink has responded (below).
So, we were in the middle of posting GoldLink’s new — and very dope — track ‘Meditation’, which features Jasmine Sullivan and sees production from KAYTRANADA, when an artist named Smilo revealed a track of his own that has clear similarities. Check out both below…did Goldlink steal these lyrics? Or worse — is there a ghostwriter situation at play a la Drake?
Y'all heard dat new GoldLink? Lol pic.twitter.com/p65uKBdQkJ

“I still see ya, I still see ya
Doin’ everything that we said we gon’ do
Girl I still see ya, I still see ya
Puttin’ all my pride and my girls to the side
‘Cause I still see ya, I still see ya
Smokin’ all my weed, bend the corners in the streets
I can still see ya, I still see ya
You wanna be me, I wanna eat ya
I wanna meet your ex, so I can beat him
And have a daughter, and be a teacher
And never follow, and be a leader
And baby girl, I still see ya
I got a light-skinned bitch who look like Beige Loaf
And she fight and fuck me in the same clothes
But when I put that daddy, baby daddy, papa stroke
She curl her toes and close her eyes
I finish up, she adios”
Rick Ross Feat. Young Thug & Wale – Trap Trap Trap

NEW MUSIC: G’Town Wayne – FaceCard
When you talk about D.C. Hip-Hop and its evolution (particularly in regards to the last decade), it can certainly be said that few have grinded in this little industry of ours harder than G’Town Wayne. The Uptown emcee has crafted some of the most consistent cuts both solo and alongside the likes of Hollywood and (his own outlet/collective) CompLeague in the city. Now, he’s ready to get back to the forefront with a new project; first, he blesses the masses with a new single titled ‘FaceCard’, which sees Wayne reflecting on his trials, tribulations and successes.
You can stream ‘FaceCard’ below via Apple Music and/or support by picking up the single here. Produced by Suavebeatsss.
DJ Torch & DJ Main Event – The Network 3: Detroit To The DMV (STREAM)
For his latest, the world famous DJ Torch links with Detroit’s DJ Main Event for the new project, aptly-titled Network 3: Detroit To The DMV. You can stream that in full below, along with the visual for Supa Trippa and Starsh’s collaboration ‘Vowels’.
Mick Jenkins Feat. GoldLink – Pressed For Time (Crossed My Mind)
A loose cut from Mick Jenkins, produced by Monte Booker and THEMpeople.
Wale – Soke (Freestyle)
Wale embraces his Nigerian heritage with his latest, which sees him going in over Burna Boy’s ‘Soke’.
DC White – The Vault (Mixtape)
Our favorite Atlanta transplant, DC White lets loose some tracks from The Vault out with taste makers Guy ATL and Show Out Time. The compilation is straight bangers, including “John Madden” and “Contraband” to name a few. The tape also has some well-placed features from the likes of Peewee Longway, Lil Duke, Yung Gwapa and more. Enjoy
Romilli – Movie Ft. Money Montana (Video)
Romilli keeps the Squadboyz momentum going and links up Money Montana and WopTV to shoot a “Movie.” Two of the busiest rappers from Southeast float over a J5 beat.
Kelow Feat. Lil Uzi Vert – Finna (Remix)
This is dope. D.C.’s own Kelow recently dropped off a remixed version of the Beat the Knocker-produced ‘Finna’, which now sees additional production from X||Z and an appearance from Lil Uzi Vert. Check it out below.
Big KA$H – Swang (Freestyle)
VA’s Big KA$H drops off a new freestyle over Rae Sremmurd’s ‘Swang’.
Tokyo Daimo – Trip to Atlanta (prod by Millz (BWA])
This excellent Daimo song has been stuck in the drafts folder too long. One of DC’s most underrated went down to Atlanta earlier this year and came back up with this story of the trip. Don’t sleep.
Eric Bellinger Feat. Wale – Treat Yourself
Taken from Eric Bellinger’s upcoming release Eric B. For President: Term 2, which drops March 10th. The singer-songwriter also explained the track to VIBE, who premiered the single:
‘Treat Yourself’ is easily one of my favorite joints on the project. I love all of the songs but this one is special to me because it’s the first time I’m actually being kind of braggadocios on a record. Over the years I’ve had some success and I tend to keep quiet about my personal life especially in the department of material things. I thought it was time to let people know what time it is.
Wale is someone I’ve been working super closely with lately. It was genuine, it was organic. When he heard the song he immediately hopped on. It’s always great working with Wale, I’m actually headed to the studio to work with him now for his new project. There’s never any effort put forth when we work, it’s crazy. Our chemistry alone could write a hit record. We’re both extremely passionate about the art and the culture. It’s rare to meet someone that actually cares about the music and the feeling behind it nowadays so when we linked we pretty much clicked instantly and it’s been magic ever since.
Wale Feat. G-Eazy – Fashion Week
The day of SHINE‘s release has to be nearing, because Wale is dropping hot sh*t left and right. His latest is the G-Eazy-assisted ‘Fashion Week’.
Styme – Give Me Dem Racks
Styme Drops his anticipated single “Give Me Dem Racks” Prod By ZekeBeats. This is definitely a club banger.
Monyae – Vindictive (Mixtape)
Check out a new mixtape from D.C.’s own Monyae titled Vindictive (stream below).
