Wild drops his remix to “With That”, shot by JD Films. Smackie Angelo on the way.
Oddisee – AlWasta (EP)
Sudanese-American hiphop artist Oddisee’s new EP, “AlWasta,” takes its title from the Arabic colloquial term used to mean (to use colloquial English) “the plug.” The term “wasta” comes from the Arabic word “wasat,” meaning “middle” or “middleman,” and describes a member of the community who acts as a connector using their wealth of social currency. Understanding the value of social currency & how to use it (for better or worse) is what Amir Elkhalifa aka Oddisee focused on as the primary inspiration for his writings.
Oddisee is also ready to unveil his 2016 plan which includes a new instrumental album in May, a tour with his band Good Compny from May through July, and the much anticipated follow up to “The Good Fight”, a new solo album in the fall.
Black Cobain – SKRT Freestyle
Cobizzy takes to the autotune to give us his own flavor over “SKRT.”
Shy Glizzy ft. 3 Glizzy – Work

ZRoc – Amazing
ZRoc keeps the hits coming with the inspirational single “Amazing,” produced by Joe Millionare. He keeps dream chasing and tells us about his come up and continual rise. Zroc raps double time to tell us how he’s going to make it and has a memorable chorus to match. More below, video coming soon!
ZRoc raps about ignoring the haters that are bound to come when rising to the top. He knows that he was made for this and is doing everything to get to his dreams. “Amazing” is anthem for those who know that they will make it regardless!
Fat Trel – Panda (GLEESH MIX) Ft. Foams SB
Trel and Foams give us their own version of Desiigner’s big hit. Shout out to all these fucking blogs for not putting Foams’ name in the post when they drop this shit. Dude just got out, give him his credit.
Will-A-Fool – Will Power (Mixtape)
will
As a talented producer from Atlanta with a number of hit singles under his belt, I’d imagine Will-The-Fool has spent some time in the booth as well. With a catalog like his, a solo career singing and rapping makes a lot of sense, especially given the success of fellow Atlanta producers-turned-artists Sonny Digital and Southside of 808 Mafia. I don’t know whether will has been doing his solo thing for a long time or not. I do know that his mixtape, Will Power, hosted by DJs Jay T, Sixx and Plugg is full of classic, mostly autotuned crooning over his own beats, with some standout features from guys like Chip and Money Makin’ Nique. Definitely worth a listen if you like the sound coming out of Atlanta right now but also want something original.
AB Icee – & One Way Boobe – Flex (Video)
Two of Southeast’s DC finest link up for some pure, unadulterated heat. “Flex” has a classic One Way Boobe verse , a distorted, beyond catchy hook from Icee as well as a layered verse in his signature style. Slopes on the beat by the way, he’s been everywhere
Bucky Malone – Candyland (Video)
Bucky Malone drops his Kelow-directed, AJGImaging-shot video to the trippy “Candyland.” Excellent visual, I didn’t know Kelow directed. This was off of the Time is 7:03 mixtape that came out in January. Check that out and watch out for Bucky’s West Coast debut soon.
HD Mafia & Top Dolla Sweizy – Sweizy Mafia (Mixtape)
Three of the hottest link up for a full blown mixtape of swag raps and bass-heavy Trap tunes, produced by Supersonic Will, Young Clip, Crankshop and Donn Gotti. Sweizy Mafia gets heavy play in the whip for sure, enough said.
Waka Flocka – Wakapella (Judo Beatz & Rell Remix)
We missed this last week…Two of our favorite upcoming producers drop their own Trap remix of Flocka’s Acapella song. If you haven’t heard of Judo and Rell, I know you’ve heard of “Milly Rock”, just one of many examples. BTW my old blog from 2010 used to be called Flockapella so this is full circle for me.
